can someone explain what makes this game so addictive? is it that much fun?
I had the same question you did. Then I just downloaded it to see for myself. It's a shit ton of fun.
There are two modes: Survival and Creative.
Survival is what it says. You have health and hunger meters. There are wild animals you can kill to get food, supplies and a companion. There are enemies that will run rampant at night or in caves. There is no other point in this mode other than survive. You can craft stuff, dig stuff, mine stuff, grow stuff, explore stuff, build stuff.
Creative mode is just for building stuff. You have unlimited supplies and can build whatever the hell you want. Want to build a castle? Go ahead. Want to build a city complete with skycrapers and stores? Go ahead.
I suggest you watch some videos of it. If you like what you see, look up some videos from the Achievement Hunter guys from Rooster Teeth. They're absolutely hilarious, especially if you understand the game.
