None of us know which of these QBs will excel or bust so I'm not going to get too worked up over which is where etc. We happened to get the one I personally though the 49ers should have drafted and hoped would be in reach if they didn't. I don't think m/any of us expected the Bear to take a QB at 3 in 2017. That said, the Vikes were a fail to not secure Fields. Monds could turn out but that move in 3 to get the last of tier 2 felt more like desperation than a plan of attack on their part.

In 2017, I thought that maybe we could cash in on the Browns trading their 2nd 1st plus some treasure to get back up to 3 for Mitch and it appeared that Pace may have had that option which make the entire situation even worse. Like everyone else here I thought Pace settled on Glennon and when I heard that the Bears traded up to 2, I went HUH? Thomas isn't worth that move etc. Ultimately, I was happy that we got a QB.

Very different than this year where just about every Bear fan jumped out of their seat when the trade was announced. Imagine if Pace didn't take a QB, LOL.

Man, you Mitch nut-huggers are really something else. Can't even keep your own lies straight.

?

Just remember who told you Pace's trading of picks have caught up to him...and don't lie about how it went down later either.

Good Day!!!

You're so mad. Keep the anger coming!!! We love it!!

I'm not against one team saying a trade was 'too expensive the same way I. Not against someone going all in to make a deal go.

Per OP - agreed. (admittedly haven't read the 6 pages)

This is what makes getting Fields so epic. He's a QB prospect who would've been the #1 overall in many other drafts according to multiple GMs. I heard 8 of 16 asked under ID protection named Fields OVER Lawrence!

Having seen his HS documentary series QB1, he's an uber cool/calm personality; but also very confident and well respected by all. Many around him pump him up, but he shrugs it off and just looks to be better. Not robotic either, which is important. CHI ate into Cutler's stand-offish arrogance like piranhas - fed by media twist for sure, but Fields is also likeable.

It took the stars to align that a few of these other teams fell in love with raw prospects instead (Mahomes effect?) or didn't pay enough to move up first. Even DAL missing out on their DBs and moving down was a big factor. Pretty cool how it all fell. Really was a dream scenario for Pace to even have a legit shot.

You guys are crazy. If Fields doesn't work out, the Vikings made the right move.

Nobody knows right now. For all we know he's RGIII in a few years.

Based on the numbers and how he presents himself,
yes - we kind of do. Fields is a VERY STRONG prospect.

It's like getting into the poker pot all-in with a big lead. Gotta see it play out, but it's the right position to be in.
Mitch was more of a coin-flip, being so raw.

I'd also like to say that I was really hoping Bears wouldn't take Darrisaw at 20, like many projected. After reading a few reports of him taking plays off and questionable work ethic/love for the game, we DO NOT want more of that BS. He may be fine for MIN, but has a much lower floor IMO.

Rather, get a Fields, Jenkins, and Borom who will shake things up with next level effort and hold teammates accountable for the same. No Koolaid, but Jenkins is the better prospect than Darrisaw when you factor the mental & drive into it.
