Yeah at this point im still watching because i was so invested early on. Ive taken a lot of breaks from the show and then would binge watch and play catchup. I find myself enjoying it more that way when i kind of have the parts i love about the show more fresh in my mind.
I don't know what the show is missing but it just gets tiring watching them kind of rehash the same thing over and over. Its like every season we get a new character who suddenly finds their humanity and refuses to take action against the living.
I never read the comics but im not sure where they can go with this show. How many fresh ideas can they bring to the table? Either there's light at the end of the tunnel with some sort of cure and rebuilding of humanity or its just endless living v dead v living. Kill someone before they kill you.
I always wanted them to introduce a resolution... and I suppose it is still possible that they will.
A cure seems far fetched unless there is an intact country out there. possible, but improbable.
i was toying with the thought that those born after the outbreak would be immune to the virus.
to my knowledge, there have been no kids born after the outbreak that have been killed or bitten.
After the commonwealth story plays out, it would be cool to see judith or herschel get bitten on their torso (somewhere you cant amputate) and not turn.
As for the last season- We know it is the commonwealth, but who the hell knows how they will play it.
Could be our heros take it over.
I used to think the group that took rick was separate from the commonwealth, but I am not so sure anymore.
What I do know is that my only remaining hope for the series and the movies is that Daryl and Rick unite once more. give me that, and I will be happy.
I would really like to see the last scene be rick dying, and viewing turning in to a zombie with his eyes. Darkness, then fuzzy awareness, and a glimpse of humans viewed through a fucked up zombie brain.
or even more terrifying, and internal monologue of awareness as humans bear down on him to kill him, where you realize there is a thinking person in there, but they have no control.
