I think it was a HUGE reach by Ryan Poles, who was convinced that Canadian football player, Chase Claypool - was worth pick 32.

I think he’s going to be a stud. I said it many times before the draft and haven’t seen anything that would change my mind.
Lots of outlets comped him to Larry Fitzgerald. Fitz was under 1,000 yards two of his first three years in the NFL.
Rome is a young guy with loads of talent that is working hard to get better.
He’s smart and tough too. Both top 10 picks didn’t miss a game.
He and Caleb will continue to grow and improve together.

To say “huge reach” is a bit much. You can think he’s not good and he’ll be a bust, but he was a consensus top 10 pick. His draft position was pretty much a lock. No one but you thinks drafting him at 9 was a reach.

There was a run on WRs - and I called it. Weak GMs like Poles fall for it. Just like how he signed Kmet for a multi-year contract
...then drafts a TE first.
