Calories 1,830
Carbs 90.7grams
Fat 73.2 grams
Protein 74.7 grams

Total for the day 3,134.5 calories, 290.7 grams of carbs, 177.7 grams of protein, 140.7 grams of fat.

Fat was higher than I'd like, been a long time since I actually tracked my meals. Usually pretty good at just getting it close. Something to work on.

So it's going to be tough for me to track my calories and macros everyday, so I'm going to touch base with it from time to time.

I decided not to go with SS as I don't feel I have time to get shredded for summer and do both. I'll worry about getting strong later.

Monday I did:

Lower Power

Squat 4x5
135x5
155x5
185x5
205x5

Romanian Deadlifts 4x5
225x5

Calves raises
205x8x4

Tuesday Upper power
Bench 5x5
205lbs

Weighed dips w/ 2 plates
2x6

Bent over rows
155x5x5

Close Grip Cable pulldowns
65x8x4

Dumbell shoulder press
130x6x3

Standing barbell curls
80x3

Skull crushers
80x3

Hammer curls
80x8

Cable press downs
72.5x8

This brings back memories of when i used to post on the bodybuilding sites back in the day. It'll be cool to monitor someones progress again, good luck. I know youre bulking and all but doesnt that dinner seem a bit overboard? Not like youre going to actually need 70 something Gs of protein, especially being thrown back into the gym.

I'm not bulking. That's my maintenance calorie intake.. probably a little under actually.

Regardless, wouldnt you say 75grams is too much for one sitting? Didnt you say you weighed around 150something? 1800 cals for dinner isnt exactly maintenance.

Why would 75 grams of protein be too much for one sitting? I don't even understand your last sentence.. it makes no sense.

Didnt you say you were like 150LBs? Im not sure if theres some kind of formula for processing protein but can you even process 75Gs in one sitting at your size? 1g of pro per pound of body weight and youre at the halfway point just from dinner. No big deal, all im saying is that it seems like overkill.

As far as that last sentence, i meant that youre taking in 1,800 cals and there was obviously a large amount off all of the macros. Thats why i assumed you were on a bulking diet. I just kind of skimmed through your original post. Im saying it just didnt look like a maintenance diet based on your size and type of cals(figured you would eat cleaner based on your former bf%) you were taking in. IDK your BMR and daily activities so im just making assumptions.

Yes I'm a 150lbs give or take a few. I don't know what you mean by formula for processing protein? Are you talking about digestion?

Why wouldn't one be able to process 75g of protein in one sitting? Digestion isn't a timed race lol. 1g per is a minimum goal. Sometimes I get a bit more, as I enjoy protein rich foods.

My maintenance caloric intake is generally between 3000 cals, and 3500 cals daily depending on a few factors.

Well yeah, youre going to digest it but when i asked if youre able to process that much, i meant in terms of protein synthesis, would that much protein really make a difference, rather than say 40Gs?

The body can only process so much protein during a specific time frame. I think its about 1-2 hours. Again, i figured you would have done the whole 5-6 meals. 3 hours apart thing to maximize protein synthesis and metabolization.

Yeah, i wasnt sure about the factors or anything like that. You gonna update this thread this week?

I'm gonna have to read into it some time. This was more of my thing like 6 or 7 years ago, I'm sure a lot of gym and nutrition "myths" have been put to bed since then.

Well it's sort of a common sense thing.. just nobody stops to think.. if we could only utilize 30-40g of protein at a time.. our species would have become quickly extinct.

I guess, though you could live off of vegetation, you'd just likely be frail as shit unless you ate 12lbs of beans a day.

This really has me thinking though. I may just try this method out next month.

I haven't tracked things like I promised I would. I've been really busy and had a lot going on in my life, on top of working with a few people IRL with their fitness goals. I do however have an updated pic.
