Brett...as much crap as I like to flip you about other stuff, you are a man who knows his way around a grill and smoker. Something about doing that in the oven seems wrong, let us know how it turns out. Good luck with the basement.

I'm trying smoked sea salt in my rub. It smells just like bbq by itself. I almost ate my two ounces of spice

This will work. Just never do em in the crock pot. No "bark" just meat mush. Gross.

I used to make 1lb tacos. Would cook 5lbs of hamburger meat. Then put it in a big soft taco shell, with tomato, onions and the all the fixings. Felt like I was going to explode after eating one of those.

Got some homemade mac and cheese going, as well as some chili. Going to be a good week of food.

Ribs were delicious but missing the smokiness and tenderness that the grill allows

If it doesn't work out, the threads will be moved into the bar.

I do my ribs in the oven similar to how you did (1:45 at 350)...but instead of finishing it in the broiler, just throw it on the grill for roughly 10 minutes on each side. It gives you the fall off the bone rib and gives them the smokey charred taste that we all love. I typically don't sauce up my ribs, I like finishing them off with lemon and oregano (Greek Style). My one secret is after I pull the ribs out of the oven, I save all the fat drippings and once I take them off the grill I brush the drippings back on...if you finish the ribs with bbq sauce add the drippings to the sauce. It's not the most healthy style of ribs, but damn are they good.

So your ribs get tender at 350 for 105 minutes?

They fall off the bone and are very tender...I would like to cook them longer at a lower temp but I usually cook ribs when I get home from work and if I did that I wouldn't start eating until after 10pm. But every time I have cooked them at 350 they have come out great...I also should mention I use the baby back pork loin ribs not the spare ribs.
