Ads are becoming ridiculous. It's bad enough having them plastered all over every page. Having to watch them before every video, even short clips, was annoying. Now YouTube often has TWO ads before you can watch the video, as well as cutting up the videos with ads.
I thought the whole point of advertising was to bring in passers by and warm them to your product or service, not annoy the fuck out of them. The last thing I want to do is actually buy something from the company who's ruining my video.

I haven't seen a youtube ad in years, except if I use the shit youtube app on my TV, which I don't.

I noticed that too. It did get rid of the window, but log in is now messed up.

I've never used the Lite version. With the full version, I right click the icon, and there are 5 scripts I can block or allow; chicity, two google apis, google syndication, and sendtonews. Just blocking sendtonews removes the ad, but leaves site functionality.
I like NoScript better than UBlock.

FTR, if this site hadn't turned its back on all the posters who came over from CBMB, and the rules weren't changed on a regular basis, and bannings for personal reasons did not take place, I would disable my ad blocker, and click on the occasional ad. But the site became antagonistic to many users, so fuck them.

Quick 5 second download and install. Thanks. You do have to do an extra step afterwards or at least I did. Just click on the adblock icon in the top right of your browser and select Block Element and then point it to that obnoxious Sports highlight crap.

The 2 Google Units have drastically underperformed in comparison. With actual revenue coming into the site that doesn't just cover the hosting, we can actually utilize to make this place better. If you guys have ever ran a Message Board, you would understand having somebody police the boards 24/7 and have shit slung at them constantly, isn't necessarily something people enjoy doing for free. It has been free help for the past couple of years and if the word "what do they even do" comes up....that is why. People stop enjoying it as the fun is sucked out of it when you have people who want to trash talk and have fun, but then the second somebody else even remotely does it...they TYREEK HILL SPRINT....to the report button.
Block it if you want. Don't if you don't want to. We'll do something cool with added revenue coming in. Instead of whining, anybody can simply shoot a PM of the site, what would make it better, how you would like it more, to my PM. We'll take a look at them and see what makes sense for all. You know....being rational. Now go watch some highlights troglonerds.

I think a fair start would be undoing some unjust permabans, IMHO. If you do that, I'll click that little highlight think 10x per day 7x24!

That's never been advertised. Donators get a green name and access to the donators forum. If you don't feel that is sufficient....PM me and I'll gladly reimburse it.
HawkBear is right.....I've never wanted to mention that but all donator tabs were given at $5.00 and some even below $5.00, 6 years ago. There are 2-3 guys who actually donated more than $20.00. They've always been appreciated and know who they are. However the "Donations" are not what any of you think they are. All in all there are 261 donators on the site and they all pretty much came after the CBMB purge. In the last 2-3 years, donations haven't been enough to even cover 2 months of hosting. Not complaining. But it's not enough to consider removing ads on the site.
If you think the site is antagonistic....send me a PM with your actual concerns. I'll see if we can't alleviate them. There isn't a benefit to harboring ill will and being angry mofos. STFU and PM me what you think a solid solution or feedback is. I'll listen.
