Instead of having Pace, an actual football guy, get promoted to President, and hire a new GM, we now have George using an 80 year old, out of touch with football, making the choice for them.

There is a very good chance we are worse off now.

Here are the crybaby Pacesexuals, so upset about essentially the same process that brought in Ryan Pace. You deserve all the Ls.

@vabearsfan15 too.

How could you trust a man to find a GM when he couldn't GM himself? Why promote ineptitude?

It isn't about trusting PAce, pay attention. It is about trusting Pace more than George.....
If you trust GEorge over Pace then you got issues.

You're whining about the same guys who hired the terrible GM you've apologized for. Dumbest self-own i've ever seen.
You must be slow. I am not whining. I am showing how low the bar is. Pace is better qualified than GEroge to pick a GM. THere is no question there. TO think otherwise is foolish.

One can dislike Pace, and also think we are worse off with George making the hire.
It isn't a defense of Pace it is an admission at how bad things are....

No one is apologizing for Pace, get off that shite.

I believe most people that wanted Pace gone also wanted Ted gone. I don't think many people got everything they wanted.

So what, you wanted him promoted to hire the next GM? The guy who sucks at drafting and hiring coaches is now going to pick the gm? GENIUS!

I said something similar when the rumors of moving Pace into Phillips' job were flying.

This is pretty much the McCaskeys picking Ted Phillips over Ryan Pace which was somehow the most AND least surprising news of the day.

You do realize if Pace got promoted it would still be George, Phillips, Pace and an outside consultant still working together to find a GM/HC right? He would be just 1/3 or 1/4 of the pieces. He would be at the bottom of the totem pole with opinions on who they should hire. It will always come down to George, Phillips and an outside consultant, because that’s whey they do. So why keep a guy who has been nothing but a failure to the organization?

You are right, Pace is more qualified but that’s not how it works in the Bears organization. Phillips whether in the President role or not would always have more say than Pace.

No, I wanted just Pace picking the guy. That was my hope. Pace was average, not a failure. George has been a failure.
