I don't think their depth could of been as good either way, but now I think they can add some more steady depth to the team, if they didn't free up more room I think too many unready unpolished players were going to have to fill out their depth. Nothing against Beach, it may be to early to roll out with him as well as Bickell, Skille, and Dowell.

Right now the Hawks have the luxury of a solid top 6. You can build depth from the minors on up that way ... and they certainly have a ton of prospects to build that depth with now.

And, if needed, we could always make a trade for the depth you guys are so desperate for near the trade deadline next March.
