Theres no doubt he's been disappointing but at least he has an upside. He may never end up being a huge contributed and maybe he will at some point but you know what Eager is going to give you. A lot of nothing with a side of stupid penalties.

Something Stalberg provides a great variety of. :)

Upgrade over Stalberg, who provides absolutely nothing but hot garbage.

Not even in your universe would that be true....

Shit if I had to choose between Eager and just dressing 17 guys -I'd go with the 17 guys before I ever put that idiot on the ice.

Frankly your team not only has to be damned good at penalty killing with a guy like that on the team - but as his game against Toronto proved -- you better also be damned good at scoring shorties too.

Eager would provide some much needed physicality on the 4th line.

Stalberg who is 6'3", plays like a pussy.

I'll take Stalberg's upside.. even if it means lacking of talent right now..

I don't think Eager just himself gets us closer to the Cup this year.

Eager sucked, plain and simple... Scott does the same thing that Eager does --although ironically he takes less stupid minors than Eager ever did. Scott is not dressing... the team is winning ... therefore the Scott thing is a non-issue.

No actually Eager still sucks- as any clown that can get 14 minutes in penalties in a single game that his team also manages to give up 5 pp goals against from just Eager's own brain fart penalties ...

frankly, it is not the intellectual capacity that I want to see anywhere near any team I follow.

You want to have a go with Stalberg ... fine ... here is a guy whose game has always been based upon speed. You don't make a sprinter in to a grinder -and if that is in fact what you want, then don't ever act like size makes one a grinder - or maybe I ought to whip out Eric Daze as an example ....

so the guy is tall.... so what? I should point out, after the disclaimer that it is hard to see what the guy is like based upon highlights of goals- but will go so far as to point out that in actual 'ice hockey' checking is actually more than running in to some other guy (with the puck .... without the puck- then you should be getting an interference penalty)- but also can involve using the stick.

I don't know how this guy is defensively, however I do know that if you prattle out there something about size -aside from the fact that ice hockey players have progressively getting bigger in the NHL and 6 foot 3 isn't really a giant out there any more.... then you are, and that is a red herring. Or a red herring in a school of the things.

No...

Eager< Scott - unless you are in love with Eager's "unique" ability to generate a clutch 9 or so points per season.

Furthermore

Dowell > Eager
