Fucking nuts, I mean... the baby needs shots and diapers and all sorts of stuff that is needed outside of the home, it has got to be pretty messed up by now? How does this guy just all of a sudden have a crying baby at his house? It wasn't exactly a remote farm. Did it go to school and leave the house?

My neighbors had 2 kids. Never once heard a crying baby. Not once, and I'm in an old part of town in which the houses are very close together. He could get away with it.

Such a tragic story.

Whats scary (besides the whole fucking ordeal) is how brainwashed he got the other 2 women after Berry escaped. They literally would not leave the house out of fear of being killed. They had an easy opening, watched Berry leave, and still couldn't physically move themselves out till the cops showed up.

I think seeking the death penalty would be way too easy of a way for this fuckstick. Send him to the "hole" and let him live the rest of his life in the smallest cell possible.

Because they're cops. It's not CSI. Many cases have breaks because of tips. The whole "turning over every stone" in police work is a fallacy. I learned quite a bit about police work in the film I did.

Were any of the victims blonde and cute?

If not, I understand why the searches ended as soon as they did.

Just being realistic.

I'm very familiar with law enforcement. My grandfather was the Police Chief in LaGrange for decades. I was pursuing a criminal justice degree until I went into the Army.

My point stems from the daughter of the suspect knowing Berry and being the last one to see her alive. I imagine if they questioned him it lasted two seconds.

Cops, "you seen her?"

Ariel, "nope."

"K, call us if you do."

So does anyone think his brothers knew? If they were in that house on a regular basis, I wouldnt find it unlikely they didnt know.

Cue 15 minutes of fame. Now there are neighbors saying that the initial guy "Chuck" in the interviews is not the guy who actually "rescued" the girl.

People actually arguing over who gets the credit? When will this world end?

Hell yeah they knew and probably participated. They are scum enough to sell out their brother to save themselves.

Frankly speaking, nobody rescued her, Berry rescued herself and her fellow captives, all someone else did was call 911 when asked.

They are looking for a plea bargain, no doubt, and will plead insanity if they don't get it.

This was my thought exactly. My question is, how do they show evidence of an insanity plea? I mean it's obvious what he did was batshit crazy, but from all the reactions after the fact of the crazy neighbor and such, they guy showed no real signs of crazy behavior. I guess one doesn't have to lead to the other, but for insanity do they have to show a history of behavior?

Not sure what Ohio state law requires.

Would think you would have to show more than mental illness or a history of that. Would have to have evidence he was so insane he couldn't discern right from wrong, or was incapable of controlling his behavior even if he knew it was wrong.
