Everything I've heard said how big of a prick Tiger is.

I was goling last summer for charity outing and one of the guy with us knew him when he was heading to Medinah. The limo driver asked if he would ike to stop anywhere before getting dropped off at the hotel, Tiger looked up from his phone, said " I'll let you know when i want you to speak."

lmao never cared for tiger after hearing that story. Karma is a *****.

Now Spieth, that's a guy I cheer for every week. And P Reed, mostly because he's the arrogant prick golfer who doesn't shy from being the arrogant prick golfer.

LOL, every situation you comment on becomes six degrees of kevin bacon.

In 2004 I was running my companies' golf outing. I hired Curtis Strange to attend the event. Part of the deal was that he played one hole with each group and hold a clinic on the range. After the clinic I took him to the locker room and we sat for about a half hour. Strange was very talkative and answered every question a group of us asked. The question came up about the friction between Mickleson and Woods. Strange said people think Mickleson was the problem but that it was really Woods and his attitude and that he kept everyone at arms length and was not friendly

It's really hard to believe that a big time star is an asshole.

I probably would have been a dick also if I was a black guy in America playing pro golf and decimating the white assholes. Who cares if he is a prick? The guy was incredible for quite a while, and he didn't even choose chicken and watermelon for the feast at Augusta.

He's a dick?

Well you proclaimed that a black guy taking over a sport predominately by white males was an issue; I just never heard of Vijay Singh make an issue over the years, but by all means, enlighten me.

And what does being dominant or not have to do with how you treat people?

He has been.

What is your point bringing Singh into this? You noticed he is dark skinned? That's about the only reason I can think of for you to introduce Singh as some sort of example.

Please explain what point you are trying to make, because I don't see one.

Because for some reason you brought up that a black guy could/should/would/don't blame him for being an asshole because he's in a white male dominated sport? I don't see why you brought that up? Maybe Tiger Woods is just an asshole?

I'm curious though, what has Vijay done? Do tell!

Hey Monster, what's your thoughts on course history for some of these guys? Do you think it makes a difference or is recent form more of w reflector of how they will play for a week?

I'm still trying to understand how some guys can have a lot of course history, know the layouts and do plenty of practice rounds; only to totally fall off and miss the cut.

Even in some instances, a amateur pro can play at his home course he teaches at in some tournaments, and just gets destroyed when the tournament begins. I would think that the advantage of knowing the course and how it plays and practicing everyday would lead someone to atleast compete; but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Does it have to do with the pin location? Some advantages of golf you think would really help someone's game, end up not being the case.

Congrats to Danny Willett btw, Spieth totally blew that.. Wow

Pressure... I know guys who play lights out all year and blow up on championship day.
I know guys who hit 10 four foot putts in a row till you put 20 bucks on it.
The world is full of great golfers... The VERY few that can handle pressure rise.
You can play along great... Hit a duff or miss a short putt... If it gets in your head... Done.
I imagine Omlette (long time golfer) would agree.
The toughest part is not playing great... It's moving forward when you're not.

Interesting.. Thanks.

As I've gotten older, I really appreciate the game. I try and it's difficult, I can hit decently when I'm out by myself, but groups I tend to play like shit. Weird how it works. Or get frustrated.

I tell you this though, the Fowlers, Bergers. Hoffmanns of the world.. They're living the high life. Playing golf around the world, make huge money, got boats, hot girlfriends, sick cars.

Being a rockstar, literally. PGA tour life has to be sickk

I should also mention. Course Management.
Our club champ isn't long but is very consistant.
He will lay up to take hazards out of play. Always sets up between the flag and the middle of the green so a miss should still be on.
He never tries to follow a bad shot with a great one... Just a good one.
That and he he putts very well. Everyone goes to range and hits driver. Might be 14 shots in your round.
The putter is twice as important. Chipping and putting saves scores.

Would be the best job I could imagine... Takes years of practice to get there.
I like to play more than practice.. Saw Day say he practiced 32 hours a week for years.
Dedication... in his case paid off.

But back around 2001 the general thought was that Phil was the asshole

I was the golf chairman at our club and have played in a zillion tournaments and here is where I disagree with you. I disagree with the notion of drive for show put for dough excpet all but the greatest golfers. For the average player and even club champion, driving is more important. If you dont hit fairways you cant score. You are not scoring being behind a tree or obstructed. But hitting fairways means you have a reasonable chance to par and you can win most club championships shooting par
