Not hardly dipshit. No team would have taken Daniels before Williams. But you're one of these fuckin idiots who loves Fields and automatically hated anyone who was drafted to replace him.
Are you a member of Bears management or local media, because you seem to have taken my comment personally?

Jayden Daniels is already considered the best Quarterback and overall player (Bowers an honorable mention) from the last draft. You’re delusional if you don’t believe he will officially become a SUPERstar and face of the league if he leads his team to the Super Bowl after the vast majority of NFL media predicted them to finish as one of the worst teams in the NFL this season.

The Bears made a mistake, and it’s not difficult to admit that. The HAUL was the correct path last off-season, where the Bears could have received a ton of assets, possibly including someone’s high 1st round pick this upcoming draft.

Yea, I liked Justin Fields and felt he got a raw deal here, but I supported Caleb from the moment he was drafted (His Jersey is my damn profile picture). Some of you simply started crashing out whenever I or others would criticize his terrible accuracy with deep passes.

Back to the subject at hand, Jayden Daniels is what me and other fans wanted Caleb Williams to be, which is a rookie quarterback leading us on a playoff run, where anything can happen, including a Super Bowl appearance or victory. Caleb is in Jayden’s shadow and will remain there until he leads the Bears to the promised land.

I was actually one of the few who was banging the table for Daniels over Caleb, mostly because of how many more games played Daniels had over Caleb, and that being a major factor in NFL success. However, I think Caleb's floor is higher than Daniels, and that Daniels had a lot better coaching this year.
Once Caleb gets more reps and has better coaching I think he can be better than Daniels.
Daniels has always had better down the field accuracy and touch. That may wind up being the deciding factor. Caleb had horrible mid to deep accuracy last year from beginning to end.

Yeah but that can be from being asked to do too much.

Whatthefuck does that even mean?
Daniels started off the year only being given a 1 read and run game plan. And as he proved he could do that well, he was given more to do.

With Caleb, he was asked to do what a normal vet would be expected to do from the get go.

This has just been well covered by the most recent interviews and press conferences on how the Bears failed to develop Caleb properly.

I suppose we'll never truly know, but it seems incredibly likely that every single team in contention for the #1 pick would've taken Williams.

But at the end of the day, it's these guys' job to get it right. To this point, it looks like the Bears may have once again gotten this wrong (shocker, I know), although I'm happy to wait and see where this goes.

It's like the people who say, "No one had Mahomes being this good!". Well, these GMs are getting paid to literally see that ahead of time and take action. So, to me, it makes no difference whether Daniels' success came as a surprise to NFL GMs. They're paid to get it right and spend their whole lives on this.

If Washington had had the 1st pick, would they have taken Williams?

And would that have worked out for them?

We'll never know.

What we do know is that it did work out very well for both the Commanders and Daniels. They seem perfect for one another.

I think it would've been hard for them to pass on the consensus No. 1 pick and the "coming home" storyline.
