Wow, what a crock and also a way to hold your money hostage.
I figured that would be the case. I'm not that upset about it. You can get your money back for canceled games.

The one thing that bugs me about it is had I known last season I would do this I would've taken in the last game experience more.

How sad that faithful, knowledgeable fans here are leaving or considering doing so. With the way the economy has been, I would bet they will be having to call A LOT of people on the waiting list to find people with the $ and desire to spend that much anymore. Bandwagoners that got on the list 2-3 years will probably say "**** it" now.

Or at the very least say "F that " when they hear the ticket prices for a team that has gone one and out the last two seasons and then season where it is likely they will not even play. In a way, I kind of hope that mass amounts of STH's do exactly that and leave McD and Rocky saying WTF?!!

I would very much doubt they are going to be calling anyone on that waiting list for a while...

CBH: Hello, possible consumer, we have an excellent opportunity to offer. Your name has come up next in line for the opportunity to spend thousands of dollars to become a season ticket holder for the Chicago blackhawks... sure there players are all over the world right now player for shit leagues because our owner and his friends have their head up their ass, but if you buy now, you'll get to pay full price for the games that we haven't canceled, and then when we do cancel them, we'll keep your money and pretend it's for the deposit on the playoff tickets we may not sell you. Sounds great huh, so what do you say....

Hawk Fan on the line:...... .... hah...... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

click.

For me it was just too much was piled on.

First, it was 100% ticket price increase in 4 years.

Then it was Rocky bitching about how broke the Hawks still were.

Now a lockout.

I admit that I have filled in my usual hockey time with other sports that are not nearly as interesting to me, but the more time that passes, I find I miss the NHL less and less...

To add insult to injury, other NHL organ-i-zations were offering up to 8% interest on the money held.

The Hawks?

2%.

The Wild are/were giving 10%.

That was the highest. Carolina is/was giving 4%.

I don't have any numbers on 8%ers...

Hawks are fucking cheap ******* after knowing they've JACKED UP the ticket price between 100-300% over the last five years. **** you John you fucking snake piece of shit.

want to hear the **** end of the 2%... so today I noticed they put the refund in my bank account yesterday for the 3 preseason games $288 for my $48 seats, so no interest... then the next transaction $0.10 from the Chicago Blackhawks as well... they are trying to tell me that 2% of $288 is ten fucking cents... I need to find that fucking calculator for my home mortgage, I know 2% isn't huge, but for 3 games it's supposed to be $5.76 not $0.10.

Just adds that much more to my shitty day

Pretty sure that's 2% is based on per annum and they probably calculated those preseason games as a few weeks.

I call BS, they've had my money for the ST for 4 months so even if it's per annum should be 33% of the $5.76.
