LOL Stu.

He had a great game. That forecheck in the last minute was my play of the game. He was HUUUUUUGE!!

Goal was nice too although the play shopuld have been whistled dead lol. We deserved a break our way for once after the shit officiating against us these playoffs.

That a bOy Kopecky. If Ladd can't go then you sir are a fine replacement!!

Thinking about you too though Colin.

if ladd can come back, kopecky deserves to stay in the lineup. bench burish, who has been pretty useless.

I have no real issues with Burish since being placed on the roster. I still think our 4th line has been very good. Didn't like Adams dumb penalty tonight though. That was def a bad hit. Stupid Adam. But he played with some good energy tonight.

Flyers are not going to be an easy to get under the skin of. They showed tonight that they can give it back just as much. Hawks looked a bit frustrated at times (bad officiating didn't help that cause).

But I like Kopecky. Glad he had a good game. If Ladd comes back I can do with either Kopecky or Burish.

His assist on Versteeg's goal was sweet, too.

I've been very critical of Hossa in these playoffs but tonight he was a man possessed.

I have to give you a great line. It wasn't mine it was Bri's. Kopecky looked pretty good better than his boyfriend Hossa.

I said it as soon as the game started. If they are going to put Pronger on PK-JT-Buff then that leaves the ice open for Hossa. They can not double shift Pronger all game. Hossa is going to have a monster series!

Brouwer's goals - lazers that they were - were made possible because of Hossa's perfect set-ups.

If Hossa does show up this series the Flyers are toast. I hope he does, break the "curse" big fella.

Yep. Much like Hossa's awesome setting up of Brouwer in the SJ series, setting up of Sharp throughout the Playoffs and setting up of Kopecky in the earlier rounds before Q healthy-scratched him for the SJ series. Hossa is THE SHIT! Period. No one will ever convince me otherwise unless he himself does a 360, becomes a raging asshole and starts doing ******-y things on/off the ice.

But back to Kopecky---I am SO glad he was able to play again and that he had a TREMENDOUS game! I had mentioned during the SJ chats that I personally didn't think it was fair that he was having such a good Playoffs and was scratched for his good efforts. I don't envy Q with the kind of talent depth he has and the hard choices he has to make sometimes, i.e., Kopecky and Fraser playing well leading up to their scratches. But it's pretty badass that the Hawks could replace one former Cup winner in Ladd with a former Cup winner in Kopecky who had been in the press box, heh.

In fact Kopecky has just been having a great post-Olympics period which I thought was commendable considering all the struggles he seemingly had adjusting here the first half of the season. . .and all the fan grief that naturally came with that. To turn his performance around after the WOs and really bring his +/- up the way he did took some perseverance. When the Hawks win ( :D ) he'll be able to say he was healthy and able play as an actual contributor this SCF so that's something that can't be taken away from him unlike when he won with DET but was injured. Good on him.

pronger would play around 60 minutes then. he looked really slow towards the end and i hope the hawks will zero in on it the rest of the series. the flyers putting a massive load on the top 4 might bite them in the end

Fair play to him he did have a huge game. He been great since the Olympics especially down the stretch. Thought it was unfair that he had to sit but that the downside of having a deep team.

When I heard Ladd was out and Kopy was in,,, I groaned a bit. Not so much after last night... count me in as a Kopecky convert.
