Can't believe the Sun-Times doesn't realize (or care for the sake of a "nifty" headline) Kopecky is Slovakian.

lol Troy had a great game also. Was very happy for him.[/quote]

Was this the first game you've watched?? Because honestly he's played like that all playoffs. He just doesn't have the pts to show for it.

It's the media, they are granted poetic liscence...for god's sake the headline "SLOVAK CASHED" just doesnt work.

It's called doing a little research and not looking like an ass in front of the whole city. Oh wait, none of the bandwagoners are going to know the difference anyways.

It's just like calling Mexicans and Puerto Ricans the same or calling Scots and the Irish the same.

LOL....having lived in Scotland, I know this statement is partially true. You are less likely to get your ass beat for calling them Irish, as you are definetly going to get your ass beat for calling them British.

lol of course it's not the first game i have watched. I didn't mention anything about him having a poor playoffs. I have been very pleased with Brouwer as much as everyone else on the club. Even Colin Fraser who hasn't seen ice time since the Preds series. I think Colin is the type of guy that also helps keep the team loose off the ice. Glad he is travelling with the club.

Anyways just saying Brouwer had a stand out game last night. His best of the playoffs thus far. Not that he has had any really bad games. As far as role players you can't ask for anything more from Brouwer. This goes for Kopecky also.

I still say we dump Kop in the off-season. He was less than worthless most of the regular season....

After the Olympic break when we struggled he was by far our most consistent forward. If he had a less cap hit I'd love to keep him. Also last night he and Hossa were the only ones that looked like nerves were not affecting them in the 1st an 2nd.

You can't go much lower for a decent player than 1 million per.

The only time you can is with prospects which we have. I don't think it would set us back much if Dowell, Bickell or Beach stepped in next year. Same goes for Lalonde replacing Sopel. The thing is right now, prospects are in a position to flourish, the only thing that they'll be counted on is that they give 100% every game.
