we already suck at DT.. need major help on the OL, the secondary is shaky at best, need stronger WR, aging D.. there's alot to cover for one offseason, I say they should give him a chance, though Cofield would be nice I'd rather improve the team overall.. I think we're close to solid playoff contention, depending on what moves are gonna be made.

That he always has had character issues, From the start, but they haven't been any major part of what changed in making him go from all-pro to no pressure.

"His quick steps to drive behind the line of scrimmage are gone."

Since the injury was not devastating, one has to conclude his lack of commitment caused the above. Why the Bears chose to extend him to begin with is an expensive mystery. I'm sure Lovie had some input when the $$ could have gone towards the OL.

I know he's been hurt but I don't think he played as hard as he could. He was always in Lovie's doghouse, as well.

Really?, both Harris and Smith are both professed "born-again Christians".
