Is City of God that good? I downloaded it and never watched it. I heard it's damn good.

It's awesome man. I think you will really enjoy it. The subs take some getting used to (if you aren't used to watching subbed movies), but 15-20 mins in...you won't even realize it anymore. That one might be top 3 for me, if I were to rank.

Let me know if you watch it / like it....

Plan on watching this weekend. I'l let you know. To be honest. I had a "session" and tried to watch it 2 years ago. I couldn't get through the subtitles and thought I may have downloaded the wrong movie. I got maybe 10 minutes into it. I'm gonna give it a sober viewing this time around!

City of God was great. Not use to movies with subtitles either but you adapt to it quickly and after 10 minutes or so it just comes all together.

You can put the popcorn away, we had this discussion like 5 years ago. I just wanted to remind him The Patriot still sucks.

watched City of God last night. Wow, it was good. Not sure I'd ever call it my top 10 though. It was however excellent. I can't believe I passed on it a few years back. I like that it's a true story of Rocket too. Great movie. True stories are always bad ass.

It's good that you gave it a second try. I know a couple people that won't watch it only because it has subtitles and they don't want to read their movies

They're missing out then. I can see not liking subtitles though. if it were a love story with sub titles, I'd pass on it every time.

They're missing out on a lot. I'm a big fan of Korean films so I'm used to reading subtitles. Too many good foreign films to limit yourself by refusing to read subttitles.
