I love how very few people could just pick three shows. The breakdowns of three shows for each genre crack me up!

If you're not cheating, you're not trying. It just seemed wrong to put Sopranos on the same list as sitcoms.

They? You know its adapted from a series of books right? Its not like Dexter where there is no arc across the entire series, where the story is constrained to the number of seasons they are contracted for... Where there is a team of writers and they don't know how many episodes or seasons they have to to create their narrative?

I assume you haven't seen the numerous spoilers I've posted in the game of thrones thread. Yes I said they. The writers of the show could still screw up the adaptation especially the end. The pace they are on will beat the completion of the books. So yes they could still screw up the series.

Ha, I knew I wasn't the only one :) . To be fair, I'm a bit younger than most of you guys, so I'm not surprised it hasn't come up that much. But damn, that show was my childhood.

I watch it due to my kids. That being said, the writers definitely make an effort to appeal to young kids as well as their parents. It's genius really.

I enjoyed Spongebob as well...and most cartoons in general. Watched a lot of Nickelodeon as a kid. My favorites will always be the Marvel cartoons that used to be on Fox though. Hulk, Spider Man, X-Men, Iron Man...loved them all. Ah the nostalgia...

Point being, its not going to peter out like Dexter cause of shitty writing.

The only way they can **** up GoT is if they decided to do something that makes no sense like ending the series then saying now were going to do a prequel with the Targaryen family.

I'm not saying Dexter went south because of writing.

It is looking more and more like the show is going to pass up the books. Although the show might know how it ends they could still very well end up doing a poor job. The writing for the show and the books are great. Different, but great. I didn't think Dexter could be screwed up until the last season. I'm optimistic that GOT will end well. Breaking Bad is a perfect example of how you end a series.

I haven't watched it in probably 25+ years, but the Twilight Zone was a TV show that would really suck me in and creep me out.

Of all time?

I don't know how Married with Children could be kept off that list...
