Age has nothing to do with back tightness.
Transitioning from college to the NFL is hard. Missing reps is not a good thing. Compounding this is the fact that there's really no depth at LT behind him.

I get that you are trying to downplay the significance of 'back tightness', but there's no way this helps Jenkins or the Bears.

Again, I’m going off of the report of back tightness. It’s medical science that it’s not a severe injury and the recovery period especially with the resources he has is not long. So I’m not downplaying what it is.

Of course missing reps doesn’t help but my god people already think he is in jeopardy of missing week 1 from this.

Nobody has actually said he is in jeopardy of missing week 1 I don't believe. But the reality is he did miss the end of last season in college because of a lower back injury, so that is where the concern flares up a bit

Are you fucking kidding me???

Both tackles, who are question marks, are already missing time???

And the rookie tackle missing because of a back thing??? Typically when you start hearing about tackles having back issues it's the beginning of the end.
I’m sure he’ll be retiring in a few weeks. Good lord!

no you made it soumd like pace bet the farm on jenkins playing like an all pro from week 1
I did not.

I said that if he cannot play LT and has to move to RT it's a problem. If he cannot play RT "good" then it's a BIG problem (overpay in draft capital). If he gets switched to RG it a HUGE problem.

Now I don’t remember haha. Yeah I get he sat out the rest of the year to focus on the draft and I seriously don’t know how severe or minor that injury was. I’m just basing my info on what he currently is dealing with.

To me, a 21 or 22 year old waking up with back tightness that keeps him from his first ever day of training camp is a concern. When he's out there playing I'll feel much better
Might be why he fell.

That said, lower back strains are not uncommon for Ts.

WTF? Pace drafted a pre-injured player. I didn't even know!

Teven Jenkins has been focused solely on the NFL Draft

The redshirt senior offensive lineman suffered a lower back injury in the Bedlam game on Nov. 21, and announced soon after that he would sit out the rest of the season to prepare himself for the NFL Draft.
“This past week has left me with a lot of difficult decisions to make for my future and family,” Jenkins wrote in a Twitter post. “With this being said, I have decided to forgo the rest of the season and declare for the 2021 NFL Draft.
“Although I cannot wait to see where my future lies, I’ve cherished every moment I’ve had at OSU.”
