There is no point wasting resources on a stop gap at this point. Wait until preseason is nearing an end and teams start making cuts and see if people of better quality than Okung become available if things are still unsettled.

Otherwise much rather see what we have in Borom and others.

Nobody of better quality than okung will be available. Better durability maybe, but okung is a top half of the league OT when healthy

Ridley doesn't get any separation on this route ?. The ball was actually placed in the only possible spot for a low-percentage catch.

A lot to parse on this play:
  • Two-TE set, Graham and Kmet
  • James Borom completely seals Bilal Nichols, but oddly towards the direction of the run. Either way, he's ineffective
  • Fake handoff to Damiere Byrd
  • Bears are running into the strength of the d-line, towards Mack and Hicks. hard to see who's on the line on offense; looks like Daniels, Simmons at RT, Whitehair, and Mustipher (who gets pushed back into the hole)
  • Khyiris Tonga is in with the starters instead of Eddie Goldman

Fields with a tell staring at the area he wanted to throw in before the snap (left side, about 5-7 yards past LOS).

Yep.

Our supposed LT, Jenkins, cannot go.
Our supposed RT, Ifedi, cannot go because of hip flexor.
Our 5th round backup, developmental RT is being STUFFED into the LT position.

Big effing YIKES!
Don't you know it's all part of the strategy to keep other teams thinking we have still have no oline...... then week 1 we roll out killdozer as a line
