I normally shit on OP and roll my eyes when I see him start a new thread, but I’m pleasantly surprised. I’ll give this one an ‘A.’

No bullshit, no flavors of the month, no nonsense because some people think certain choices aren’t sexy enough, no unnecessary luxuries with prime draft picks like backup safeties in the 2nd round or RBs in the 1st round, it’s all substance and the bitter realization that the OL has been the problem. I’ll enjoy this one, because with mock draft season here till the end of April, this is the apex, and it’s all downhill from here.

Arm length size queens won’t like Campbell, but they’re also incompetent and incapable of grasping what is conductive to having a good team/offensive unit. I can see him falling to 10 if the right pieces in front of him fall into place/teams trade up for QBs. Also wouldn’t be shocked if Banks overtakes him as OT1 by April.

Not sure the bengals are giving Hendrickson up for a 3rd and while I would, Poles won’t take 3 OL with 3 picks in the top 45. If he wants to surprise me, then by all means.

If the Bears went Edge at 9 last year, we'd be seeing mock drafts where they have to take a WR at 10 this year because otherwise, Ben Johnson has no weapons to build with.

The OP has the Bears trading only a 3rd for Hendrickson, and has them drafting an OL at 41 that I just saw mocked at 10 to them.

Of course we'd love if the draft and FA played out like that mock, because its not close to realistic.

Any mock draft using premium resources on the offensive line gets a thumbs up from me. Also, I absolutely love Donovan Jackson as a prospect. However, his play after being forced to play LT, probably moved him into the 1st round.

The Bengals aren’t taking a 3d in that trade scenario.

Not sure drafting 3 guards is a good idea with our first 3 picks. We need a DT somewhere in there. If Graham is available in the 1st, you run to the card in.

Then we would be in need of a top WR. So same boat but less for our QB to grow with. Last years 9 was a great pick.

Pretty sure Rams could get two 1sts for Verse right now if they wanted to. To me, the best picks of the draft with value were Daniels (of course), Verse at 19, and Brian Thomas at 23.

Huge fan of verse but no one is giving up 2 1sts for him

Actually it is. It's mostly draft picks who won't be available at said picks and a trade that won't be enough for the guy they are getting. And he thinks brady/Carroll are going to trade Crosby lol

They aren’t going 3 OL with the 1st 3picks after signing a big ticket FA on that very same OL. No sane team would attempt to start 3 rookie OL a year after giving up 68 sacks. Not a well thought out mock especially considering TH going for just a 3rd lol.

So let's say a better offer for Hendrickson is two second rounders, one this year and one next...

What would every one say if that was what the Bears gave up?
I would rather Poles attempt to trade two firsts for Parsons than two seconds for Hendrickson. Ain't like Dallas has a lot of money to throw around and they are one snide remark to the press away from "shit or get off the pot" with Parsons. Basically, I am calling for a do-over on the 2018 offseason. It was a good plan if Trubisky and Nagy were themselves the correct people to lead the offense to contention.

If you are going to take a swing and trade multiple draft picks, I think you should aim for one of the guys who has a shot at the HOF while they are young enough to play through two more contracts.

If the plan isn’t to sign 2 starters in FA, then they have the wrong plan.

The whole thing hinges on Hendrickson for a 3rd, and this won't happen. Jackson won't be at 39 most likely and Membou won't be there for sure.

There needs to be some DT help and S help, along with WR and TE. Neal, meh.

So it looks nice at the top but nothing about the B level holes on the team and 100% unrealistic.

It may look like that now and to you. Let's see where it ends. Bears 1 and 9 may be at the top in the long run.

Let's hope so. Also I may be overstating Verse a bit, but his position is quite premium. Top WRs come out all rounds of the draft , most top rushers are very early draft picks.

I stopped reading at a third round pick for Hendrickson. Trey was the best DE in the game in 2025 and doesnt get alot of help from the Bengals DLINE and isn't showing any sign of slowing down.

IDC if he is 30 or 31, you're not getting his jockstrap for a third round pick.

I'd like to see the Bears explore a deal for Jacksonvilles Travon Walker if Jacksonville signs Cunningham to become their GM then I'd like to see the Bears send them a 2025 third, a 2026 third and a 2025 second round pick.

That would give the Bears a young 10 sack DE who's 26 and become equal part run defender to what he is as a passrusher without breaking their balls in draft capital.

The Bears don't have to get a top 3 DE to get where they need to go defensively. They just need another Montez Sweat or someone marginally better who can take advantage of the fact that Sweat is chipped and doubled on almost every snap.

I traded for walker in madden, but see absolutely no reason why jax would get rid of him. He's trending to be a beast.

Maxx Crosby, Myles Garrett, and Hendrickson are all likely to hit the open market hopefully that drives the value down, I think it will.

I don't like spending a ton of money on a guard when we have the draft capital to draft one or two.
You 100% are not getting Trey for a 3rd round pick. You have to know this.

Taking 3 OL in the top 3 none of whom are guaranteed to stick at T seems a bit ill advised. If the plan is to start all 3 then I think that is a terrible idea.

To me this is the perfect draft to trade down in with that 1st round pick and maybe even one of the 2nd's but not too far down. The strength of this draft in OL (especially guard) and at DT/DE is strong and sure looks like many of them will be there around picks #20 to say #50 or so. Would someone come up for a guy like Jeanty because Dallas picks at #12 and from the outside looking in it sure would be tough for me to pass on Jeanty if i was Dallas.
