I wouldn't have given a bag of pucks for Brouwer. Great return. for Campbell to be traded. And  for the 2nd line center.
You're right, Brouw is just a terrible hockey player.

Ok, all hyperbole from both sides aside, Brow doesn't fit. He's not a top 6er and to pay 2+ mil for a bottom 6er is irresponsible in the Hawks's situation.

That's undeniable...

Bowman said this years camp is going to be focused more on development of set of prospects and less like a tryout which was set up last year. So Beach will still have to earn any shot he can get. Doing things like not injuring the competition this camp might help his case.

hahaha. well put.

We ought to have a pool as to whom Beach hurts this upcoming camp.

Name me one current Hawk that will have 261 hits?

I don't see anyone. Mike Rupp could change that.

Where you getting the 261 number at?

I'm not sure where, I suppose you could throw John Scott out there to get hits.

That was Brouwers alleged hit count.

Bickell had 178 hits. If he mans up a bit more this next season he could crack 200 for sure. With all that criticism of him, it was still his rookie season with only 27 NHL games prior.

Nobody wants to throw Scott in just for hits, but hopefully that 2-2.5 Mil saved from not resigning Brouwer will be able to aid a player or two who can make up some physical presence.

Good call on Bickell.

Looking forward to seeing his game progress.

Yup. Hits are a wishy-washy statistic anyway.

Well Troy, I think the organization was frustrated with your 0 goals in the last 20+ games this season.

So, it's mutual.

exactly...if he would have played better, there is no doubt in my mind he would be back...
