Dude is just too stupid to read defenses apparently. He doesn't throw with any anticipation and is missing wide open receivers all over the field and now the Bears don't have a first round pick for 2 years. Holy shit this is monumentally terrible.

Did he throw to a receiver ON TIME once? It seemed like every completion to a wide out was after a scramble and he basically pulls it down to run if his first read isn't there every single time.

Hopefully he'll get better as the season goes along but early results look terrible frankly.

Edit: When i say missing, I mean he's not seeing wide open receivers. He seems to look for his first read and then just dump it to a running back. He's not hitting 2nd or 3rd option receivers. The only time he seems to complete passes to receivers is when he scrambles and just looks around for someone open.

Mahomes looked pretty damn good today...

Yeah, I was never high on Trubisky coming into the draft. When I watch him play, I don't know about you guys, but he just doesn't have a very commanding presence out there on the field. It's the same shaky feeling I had with Cutler: Everytime he drops back to throw a ball downfield, I immediately think it's going to be picked off.

To me he just looks lost like he doesn't know where the receivers are running and when to throw it

Not a fan of the word stupid but it looks like Trubisky is overwhelmed with the speed of the game. This game was not a good sign for Trubiskys future IMHO. This seems to be a much better team than this year but we could easily have another qb to add to the heap.

Sadly he is looking like the next in a long line of Chicago QB busts. Watson would make this team a NFC North champion. Screw you Pace.

You are so full of shit. Watson sucked today. Pull Micks balls out of your moth.

Trubisky has a ways to go. He was not giving up a 75 yard touchdown, though. 21 points in the 4th is unacceptable. You have to expect ups and downs from a young QB. Breakdowns on defense like that cannot happen.

This is what happens when you become too dependent on gimmicks and not enough on natural instinct. If the gimmick isn't there, what do you do? Nagy just needs to let Mitch play more naturally

He looked okay in the first. I dunno, were those the scripted plays?

Then he seemed to get overwhelmed by the coverages. Running too much. Over throwing guys - horribly. He's got a ways to go. Thankfully the defense will be able to score this year.

The first two drives were the scripted plays that Mitch was completely ready for, then they went deeper into the play book and he seemed unsure.

Hopefully he gets better, longer into the game.

He seemed lost. I think the reason they held him out of those playoffs games is they know he was not ready. They were hoping to hide his deficiency. The sad truth is he did not see the blitz well at all. He did not read the coverage. A few more games like this, where he looks like crap off of the script and defenses will have a feeding frenzy.

Trubs had some nice throws, lets not exaggerate.

But that 4th quarter was scary.
He made some nice throws but he also had that frantic and confused Rex Grossman look on his face. That mental midget look. Rex just had a much much better arm and that sexy deep ball.

Mitch lacks instincts and feel for the game. He looks clueless and over his head. After the scripted plays in the first two series he was useless. This loss is 100% on Mitch

Man I agree... he is not ready.

A solid backup wins this game!

If he was throwing to wide open receivers, but overthrowing them, it doesn't seem the problem was reading defenses.

If his throws were after scrambles, it seems there were other problems, nitt just te QB.
