you probably watched like 5 mins of it, checked out through the wormhole for 3 mins, and than went back to mtv. these shows arent fact or fiction since none of us well ever know what really happened in all avenues of our history. no one is saying that they believe 100% that this is fact. now please go back to the other threads in the bar and talk about things that are a little easier on your small guitar playing brain, like shoes.

theres a difference between believing what the show states about the ancient astrounaut theory and ufos in general checking us out. That I believe to be happening, I believe that there are other beings that check us out, but is it fact? nope.

i'm not sure why the parallel between extra terrestrial and religion(specifically god) keeps coming up...the two arent necessarily contradictory but at the same time they're not exactly relatable

meaning the belief in aliens really is not based on religion or faith..its based on scientific speculation....

idk if calling someone a Special person for seeing UFOs is right...but i think there is truth that people are paranoid and jump to conclusions

on one account, that is pretty stupid..but people are inherently fearful or extra-terrestrial life...why idk? maybe it has to do with our own history..how alot of "aliens" and newcomers to certain civilizations and places were most of the time conquerors...so it becomes something that has been placed in our psyche

i am not so sure extra terrestrial life(which probably does exist...i mean there are WAY too many planets in the universe for there not to be other life than us...and there's probably intelligent life as well) is going to be what we expect it to be

it could be so complex and different we may not be able to wrap our minds around it...or it could be absolutely massive in size or absolutely miniscule in size

i'm becoming less of a fan of the word aliens...just because it represents a sort of paranoia that people have had for a long time

some of these speculative shows are somewhat interesting..because it brings in sometimes well thought perspectives on certain things

but at the same time they're VERY speculative and VERY subjective..

i dont take it as complete hogshit(though some of the stuff they speculate about is pretty freaking ridiculous)...but at the same time..you have to understand this stuff is not meant to be fact of any kind

I like some of the speculative shows. My problem is, how do you make Ice Road Truckers into a series that lasts more than a few seasons? After a few episodes, you have seen everything, the rest is OVERLY redundant.

The irony is, you turn on the History Channel, and what do you see? You see Cultural Reality Documentaries. Is that technically history? Well, sure, anything can be history, but it sure as hell is misleading a bit, wouldn't you say? I think American Pickers and Pawn Stars do an excellent job of demonstrating history for being reality shows, but Black Gold, Swamp people? What's so historical about that? Oil is old, oh look at me huntin' this 100 year old gator?

pawn stars is pretty cool..i'll admit that...but ya the thing is alot of these shows you wouldnt think would or should be on the history channel
