We've touched on different shows all over, figure we could just have a TV thread and get it all over with, please be careful of spoilers. Also, I guess since Ymo and I have been having a Dr. Who lovefest via PM, it's probably good for us to get it all out in the open.

I'd also like to start with this pretty tiger:

Yes, Tyrion is awesome. Last weeks had me in complete shock but I will not ruin it. We discussed this show a little when talking about the books in the other thread, but it's a great show. And last week proved it is one of the best, of course it's got great source material.

Whether or not it is true to the books I did not care for the ending of that episode

Every single part of it so far has been true to the books, and how can you not like the ending! IT's amazing for any tv series to 1.) stay true to the books and 2.) have something as drastic as that happen. It made the show even better. Shocking is good.

Trueblood also excellent, right up there just below Dexter for me. I believe Breaking Bad will be back soon. Dr. Who is on or going on a break, with torchwood coming back, I thought usually the summer was slow but so much going on at all times now.

****SPOILER ALERT SORTA*****

Well my answer will infer a lot but I really liked the character so I didn't want it to happen. Also he was the 2nd most interesting character outside of Tyrion. And Tyrion is just funny as hell

I can see that and I totally agree, but at the same time that makes it even better to me, to see a show do that in season 1. I have a feeling it's not quite over yet. We'll see. I won't be reading or watching ahead. I think you can go to HBO.com and watch next weeks episode already though?

Fan of Game of Thrones as well. Slightly familiar with the books, but have not read them. Glad that Breaking Bad is coming back as it's also a favourite show of mine. I think Dexter has lost some of its appeal the longer it's been on. I also like Treme, the characters and the music are good and was a big fan of The Wire.

Huge fan of the Wire, can't get into Treme, haven't watched too much, but nothing ever seems to happen but wallowing in their own self-pity...

Ya know, with all of these so-called talent shows where a bunch of has-beens judge a bunch of never-will-be's on a horrible act...

...

...

...

...

I miss the Gong Show--at least it didn't try to pretend it was anything but corny.

Another taste... look at the new cast memebers.... Mikael Pfiffer, Pullman, those two hot chicks... me likey. No wonder he left Lie to Me. It's a good thing too now that it's canceled.

I hate pretty much all reality tv/talent shows. They are a cheap fucking cop out used to not have to pay writers and actors to be talented.

I think I'd suffer them, and all reality TV for that matter, a bit better if they weren't overdon productions and the great unwash didn't treat them like the new religion of the ages.

Plus, for ****'s sake, I'm watching TV--I want a sense of unrealism/surreaism there! As far as I'm concerned there's only one Reality TV show on now, and it's season finale starts on June 15th at 7:00pmCDT. Everything else I want to see something out of the ordinary, like MXC/Takeshi's Castle!

Nope, it's the worst. No real money is spent on it, it's geared toward mindless drivel and they create celebrities out of people who otherwise would be in a trash dump. I wish that they could all be sued and an injuntion would be put into place barring them from using the term reality, or eluding to those shows being anything close to real or non-fiction. The fact that they let them get away with things that other human beings are not in their right mind allowed to do, "because they are reality stars" is beyond mind-blowing. The entire phenomenon needs to go away, but it won't. It's the cheapest tv around and it actively participates in making people dumber which is the exact demographic it's going for, mindless idiots. SO in fact it is creating it's own audience and further propagating it's existence.

And I"m going to ignore that bookie you big meanie. How is that show, I've never seen it.
