I understand that and i know it doesn't make much sense. But I guess the joke is far funnier than the application of the joke.

I don't understand how you can say that... both of their stand-up routines heavily influence the style and content of the shows...

I was going to mention it but got too lazy. Both shows are heavily influenced by their routines and both at the top of my favorites list.

Any new shows folks are looking forward to this fall?

I find it weird that there are two twins/clones shows coming out... I loved Buffy, but I'm sorry SMG - I don't think I'll be tuning in to your latest.

Walking Dead in Oct. Except apparently AMC just fired Frank Darabont... what the **** are they thinking. First the AMC pres jerks around Mad Men, then Breaking bad, now he's trying to destroy walking dead.

I recommend Strike Force on Cinemax Fridays. I wasn't terribly impressed with the trailers but after watching the pilot, I'm hooked.

I'm annoyed that syfy is cancelling Eureka, i love that show. At least there will still be a season 5.

And I just watched all of Harper's Island on netflix a couple days ago and i loved it. I don't know how people actually waited a whole week in between episodes because i seriously could not stop watching it.

SyFy's new show Alphas is pretty awesome, I really like it. Ryan Cartwright (who was also in Bones) is adorable and a very good actor.

Damn they are canceling it? I just got it back on the DVR? I added alpha's too, and warehouse 13 becuase we saw a couple of episodes last season and it wasn't horrible. I missed the first episode or 3 of Alphas and have only seen one so I'm a little lost, but I'm hopeing to catch up easily. What is Harper's island? Worth it after I'm done with BSG?

WTF they are cancelling Eureka....outstanding. That was the only show of their's I liked. Warehouse 13 and Alphas bored me to death with the pilot. Also none of them have Sali Whitfield-Richardson

Last year they cancelled SGU which I loved too. Argh, screw SyFy stupid name anyway, still should be Sci-Fi

Yeah im pretty annoyed that Eureka is being canceled. They are gonna finish out this season and then air the 13 or so episodes they already shot for season 5. ANNOYING and syfy is lame. And Alphas grew on me a lot more after the pilot.

TJD-- I LOVED Prison Break lol i think the first season was almost the best one though. they almost lost me with the 3rd season and then someone spoiled the ending of the whole series for me so it took me a long time to actually finish season 4.

And Mass-- Harper's Island is a 13 episode series about a serial killer killing people one by one on an island, some good suspense I really liked it and watched almost all of the episodes in one day so yeah I would recommend it if you like that sort of thing.

I remember that now I think. Didn't they do it on a novel or something? Murder mystery think on an island where ever person is a suspect?

I caught a cancelled showtime series on netflix I thought was pretty good called "Sleeper Cell". About a muslim undercover FBI agent who infiltrated and took down domestic terror cells. I thought it was pretty F'in awesome.

Sleeper Cell is awesome. I watched it on Netflix too. Both seasons are very well done. Darwin is very good leading character, I would never make it in his position. It also does a good job showing most muslims are not terrorists.

This has been on my Netflix queue for a bit... I'm definitely looking forward to it. I love me some Cameron Richardson.

I too, am disappointed about Eureka, even though this is the first season I've caught in a long time (Felicia Day showed up, so I felt a stronger urge to watch). Still love Warehouse 13, too - still kind of waiting for this season to take off. Last episode was ok, but I think we need more HG Wells and they need to start better utilizing Jinx, he could be a great character on the show.

Warehouse 13 is not as good as I remember it, almost a low rent version of Dr. who mashed in with Psyche... only not as good as either, and the production seems to have crashed a bit. Maybe I just remember it from a while back as being better than what I thought it was?

Also, get it while you can, today's gold box deal on amazon is The Wire: The complete series, for 72.49. That's 64% off and $127.49 off, for one of the best series of all time.

Now that it's September I am looking forward to some Fall premieres!! Among my list are The Vampire Diaries, Psych, How I Met Your Mother, Supernatural, Bones, Dexter, Criminal Minds and I am curious and intrigued about a new show on FX called American Horror Story, and I will probably watch The Finder as well whenever that premieres because I really liked that episode of Bones and I like Geoff Stults. I watch too much tv and I manage to do it without a DVR lol

SOA is going to be good this season. Haven't watched it yet, but the series finale of Rescue Me I'm afraid will have me in tears.
