That's irrelevant. It's beyond irrelevant.

Just because something is rare, you can't use that rarity to connect dots on a specific case. Otherwise, we might as well just jail all accused rapists and deny them due process because, you know, false allegations are extremely rare.

If you read what I wrote you'd understand that my take on this is that I'm letting the facts come out and not making a decision. I've said in cases of false accusations, that they are rarer than actual rape cases coming forward. I didn't say that was the case in this situation, I just said that in general. The fact that someone came forward and wanted to press charges is not a common thing, and if she is lying, that would make this an even more rarer case. None of which means anything you wrote above.

Again, I wrote that I'm letting the judicial system figure this out before I make a decision on my opinion of what happened. I believe that for all criminal cases or accusations. Clear as day I wrote that.

Can anybody here at CCS read a fucking post before spewing off bullshit? It's getting ridiculously old.

Pfffft. So basically what you're saying is that in your opinion he is exonerated?

You know I wasn't referring to you, or practically most posters who aren't usually getting baited by other people.

C'mon, you're a smart guy - you know who is baiting and who is not. I hid the triumverate of trolls a few days ago so I would stop taking their bait. Has it stopped?

The whining hasn't...

The woman accusing Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane of rape went to his Hamburg, New York home because her friend wanted to go there, according to a report in The Buffalo News.

Per the story in The News:

“They were at SkyBar, and Kane invited them to his home. Her friend really wanted to go to Kane’s house, and she didn’t want her friend to go there alone,” a friend of the woman told The Buffalo News. “It wasn’t her idea to go there.”

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...ied-friend-to-his-home--report-145732530.html

Did the girl who Kane brought home pass out drunk, leading him to go "get friendly" with her friend (the victim) in the other room? That would explain why the victim was raped while her friend didn't stop her.

In any case, it looks like Kane might skate (pun of course intended) on this one. Pending of course the results of the rape kit. But I just think there are too many inconsistencies, as well as the general bias towards prosecuting athletes, who have successfully portrayed themselves as victims of vulturous groupies.

That doesn't mean I don't think he did it. Actually, based on the documented instances of his abusive behavior while drunk in the past, I do. It's a sad situation all the way around.

Not really news, I suppose, but was listening to Speigel and Goff at lunch. They asked Peggy Kusinski of NBC what she's heard from the front office, and said that they are furious about the whole thing, expects them to discipline Kane regardless of the outcome. No surprise there.

As an aside, Speigel brought up Ben Roethlisberger, how he "was charged but not convicted". Of course, that's false. He was never charged, but it shows how the accused can be remembered in an unfavorable light for years after something like this happens, even if no charges are brought.

Would be nice if all names were kept secret until formal charges were levied.

If they want to do that, the Buffalo authorities better get on it - the victim's friends and co workers are already beginning to talk to respond to what they say is unwarranted victim-bashing by the blowhard who owns the bar Kane likes to sh*tface himself in ... ALL of them portray her as a stable, hard working professional - not the sort of person who sleeps around or would concoct a story like this and live in infamy in order to get cash out of an athlete.

Right, I'm saying I wish it was required. There are leaks coming out on both sides. Remember last week when it was "statutory rape"?

From Peggy Kusinski's FB page.

NBCChicago Phil Rogers w/latest from Buffalo DA today when asked about Patrick Kane investigation:

"I don't turn up the heat on someone because they're a celebrity and I don't give em a break because they're a celebrity."

He also said the reason he doesn't acknowledge investigations is "sometimes an investigation clears somebody of wrongdoing."

"That person cannot get their reputation back. That person will always have a cloud over their head."

Yeah, that practice is working real well for Kane (and the alleged victim) right now ...

Pour enough booze in any woman, and sound judgement becomes a non-factor.
This applies even more to Kane, who has already lost millions in endorsements.

All we have been hearing from are wondercunts making press headlines, why is that?.

The more time that passes, the more favorable it looks for Kane. Had there been any solid evidence, charges would have been filed days ago.

To see these comments from a guy with a bible verse in his sig is baffling.
