He's infinitely better than anyone we have. Still, I'd rather lose with a man than win with a *****. This is hockey, not tiddlywinks.

Would Youkalis? Nope. That's a man's man. That's the kind of guy I want playing on my team.

I just can't see myself ever rooting for someone who whines to the refs ALL THE TIME, fakes injuries, flops like a *****, and cries like a fat chick who didn't get invited to the prom when he loses.

Hate isn't a strong enough word for what I feel for that pantywaist.

I think Clutterbuck, Luongo, Torres, and Pronger should be on a team together so I can root for a plane crash.

and crawford pooped himself against the coyotes.

Holy overreaction Batman!!!!

At the end if the day I want my team to win...Luongo (more than craw) gives us the best chance of winning

He costs a gazillion dollars and we could do a hell of a lot more with that money...

and the SECOND he gets bitched on a cheapie the fans on Madison are going to go apeshit on him. Not worth the risk or the cash in my opinion.

Also, did I mention I hate his guts?

Trading those guys, however, doesn't manage the contract length to a lesser amount of years - which is also a big part of 'manageability'.

If we can get rid of the 2.3 million dollar anchor known as Frolik, I'd be happy to sign anyone y'all want.

To be honest, Hjalmarsson, Oduya and Montador, and to a lesser extent Kane and Bolland, fall into that "I think we could do more with that Special person amount of cash" category too...

Enough with the wanting Kane traded. He's fucking good hockey player.

Yeah so what? Gretzky is 100 times better than Kane & was traded more than once.

Because what are the Hawks going to get for him?

Rumors of Miller for Kane are ridiculous because that would never happen. Nash for Kane is basically the same two players being swapped, but Nash has a higher cap hit.

Kane is a damned good player. That said, he's making an assload of money, producing less than others making less, and he's embarrassing the organization.

I like him, I own his sweater, and I want him to be a fucking stud, but if he keeps hovering around the 25th best scorer mark and costs us what he's costing us, AND keeps fucking up off the ice, I have no use for him. Time to grow up and be a badass.

I once heard someone say that there are plenty of people who are supremely talented who are great players, and some who are not so physically talented who are overachievers and become great players, and that Michael Jordan was the rare case of a supremely physically talented overachiever. I want that from Kane for the amount of money we're paying him. I want that motherfucker to want it as much as I want it. I want him to demand greatness. At his pay grade he needs to be the motherfucker taking out the trash, carrying the mail, and being a superhero in the off-season, hanging out at children's hospitals instead of choking bitches.

If I had his talent you'd be naming your kids after me.

Like I said when talking about a Nash for Kane trade, their about equal and Nash is paid more. Kane isn't the only player with good ability and talent that is paid more than he earns.

And off the ice stuff is just dumb. Unless he starts getting drunk on team roadtrips and it actually affects his game, I don't care what he does. He's 23 years old (same age as me) and if I were a player of his caliber with that type of money who won a Stanley Cup, I'd be partying my ass off too.

He'll grow up eventually.

People act like Kane can never be traded.

What happens when you want to do something in the 6th year (and beyond) ?

Tbo, I don't mean this to put you on the spot- but mainly to point out this is what I think that the consideration with Luongo's contract manageability is for those that have to make the decisions.

Otoh, the Campbell trade last year proved that no contract is really 'un-tradeable' - oto oh, Campbell isn't nearly over the hill (and at the point of Luongo's contract really starts to bite would be when he is over the hill ... a lot like Hossa's (but only if Hossa were to decide to play out the full length of the contract .... sure the company line is that they would be ok with that .... but you know, wait and see if/when that happens - and I suppose you will see if Rockwell Wirtz is continually ok with paying NHL money to guys playing in Europe ... I'm sure that might pique the interest of the league (although what they might be able to do about things at that point -is another thing [imo - probably nothing - but they'd have to give lip service to it]).

And you all thought hockey was only about hockey :) :turrible: (in a perfect world... yeah I know).

I figured he would be buried like Huet or Olesz
