I listen to Colin Cowherd during the day. The last couple days I've listened to him he's befuddled how the Rams cay pay Stafford, Donald, Ramsey, part of Goff's salary, Von Miller and we couldn't afford to keep Kyle Fuller.

I'm not sure how the Rams still have picks to trade or cap to pay these names.

It does make me wonder....

If a 32 year old Von Miller can get a 2nd and a 3rd, what could a 30 year old Mack get?
Mack also has three reasonable ($17-17-22) years left on his deal.

There will also likely be a trade market for EDGE players this offseason.

Let’s send them Hicks, Goldman, Mack and Quinn. For their coach.
How none of them can be unloaded for second day picks is mind boggling....Pace fucked up this org for 8 to 10 more years

That's the financial side. I think the Rams will still have a cap hit, but the actual paychecks will be coming mostly from Denver.

With Miller being a FA this next year they are essentially paying ~$9MM for a 2nd and 3rd round draft pick.
Per OTC the Rams have 5.3 in available cap space so if this is the case they need to clear room somehow. ?‍♂️ Honestly don’t know how cap space and trades work.

That's the difference between Les Snead and Ryan dogshit Pace.

Broncos fans seem salty over this which makes no sense to me.

SB or bust for the Rams this year.

At this point, I think I would favor them to win it all, even over the Bucs.

The NFC is brutal though, and it's likely they'll have to beat 2 teams out of the Cowboys, Packers, Bucs, and Cardinals if they want to make it to the Super Bowl.

Maybe the Broncos convert most the salary into a signing bonus, then trade him?

I don't really know either. I'm sure OTC will have an article on this move in 1-2 days explaining how the cap works out.

From the outside looking in, this feels like step one of a teardown and rebuild. I imagine if they were gonna throw the towel in this year they should've went with a young QB instead of rolling with Bridgewater.

The Rams should save some cash and just fire all their scouts. Won't need them for a few years. Just sort NFL.com by BPA and take whomever is left.

That D should be scary and with Stafford at the helm they are poised for a late playoff run. With Miller being on his last season they definitely are in 'win now' mode. How crazy would this board be if the Bears gave up a 2nd and a 3rd for a 1 year rental?
They did the same with Ramsey and then extended him.

The Bears didn’t force 1 punt yesterday without him. Zero QB knockdowns, zero turnovers. They need him unless they are punting on next season too.

I still can’t believe they didn’t draft a QB. (Can’t believe a few teams didn’t)

So, what's up with the Watson trade? I mean wasn't it about to happen any minute like a week ago?

Yeah, that's not good. Add in that you traded away your first round pick there really isn't much good in tanking.
