he would be for the defense what John Fox was as head coach. a lot of people here hated John Fox, so just think before you speak again. I'm not entirely sure the Bears defense in contemporary times requires an intervention due to poor culture, I think that's all Phillips can contribute at this point (and what he pretty much has for like 17 teams in the last 20 years). that's probably the one thing Nagy is truly good at, there are other negative side effects from it though. as to the defense, them whiffing on everything was due to the scheme and the only problem with the unit. well, that and a lack of motivation apparently to do their jobs. can Phillips fix that?
he's one of those coaches that's literally been with 17 different teams, he's been passed around a lot. I don't think that has to do with stellar performance.
