What a fucking joke of a PP.

Anyone wonder why people want a coaching change.

My Zod, even when they're able to get it into the other zone--regardless if it's PP or full strength--it's like a fucking merry-go-round without the nice music. Kings will do that all day until the coaches actually come up with something. WAKE THE BEAST UP!

The amount of blame on the coaches for the PP is comical. The PP itself is a pretty simple thing to run and I doubt the players even need much coaching on it. It comes down to the players wanting it and executing it. It isn't rocket science. The Blackhawks have basically had 4 PP coaches in the last 3 years but nothing has worked consistently. Why? Because the players haven't changed as often as the coaches have.

When a team doesn't score on a long 5 on 3 and they have that much talent out there, that is the players' fault not the PP coach.

Well trading Kane, Toews, Hossa and Sharp is a great idea to fix the PP.

I just want to see a real scheme change on the power play...some actual movement would be nice.

Which is completely on the players. If they can't work a simple umbrella, then what are the coaches to do?

Meh, I find it hard to fault world class players for the failures on PP more than faulting the coaching staff for not finding the right scheme/combo of those players.

Hawks are really laying it on the line tonight...good to see. The pace is crazy fast. Tuesday the Kings were gassed late in the game. Let's see what happens tonight in the 3rd.

Indeed, because it's obviously a combination of the 2 with the Kings continuing to counter what the Hawks have been doing, so the Hawks need both some focus and different schemes to break the stale-mate. I'm glad for the goal at least and hope they can build off it.

There have been 4 actual PP coaches over the last 3 years with the 3 assistant coaches and Barry Smith. Toss in guidance from Q and I'm sure Scotty Bowman and it then falls on the players to get it done. It is a 1 man advantage, it isn't rocket science but the players aren't getting it done. Every guy out there knows what to do and how to run a powerplay, but they just aren't getting it done. Hell, almost every guy at Johnny's knows how to run an umbrella powerplay, but it comes down to getting it done.

When you don't get shots on net and traffic, is that the coaches fault? I can almost guarantee the coaches are telling them to get shots and traffic.

Powerplay again, can we just go on the PK instead?
