Hawks in 4.

I honestly liked the way the hawks played but we still seen moments of Detroit brilliance I just hope we can take the two at home and steal an away game because i think it will be a lot tougher in Detroit

I think this one goes over-time. OR I see us winning 5-2.

I could see the Hawks winning...or maybe losing this one.

Possibly winning big or a close/tight checking game. Maybe even losing by 1 or a few.

I also wouldn't be shocked if TCD turned the tables and mounted STU by the third period

Also, I think I may be drunk as hell by puck drop

Anything can happen...but I think all this is accurate.

Based on my prediction of the 'hawks in 6--losing 1 because we underestimate Detroit and the other because of fundamental breakdowns; I think this is one where we could lose because of how we closed out game 1.

Key to this one is stay focused and don't try to play down to detroit's level.

I think Q Spots Stalberg in the 100 level with his daughter around his arms, and blows a gasket, shuffles all the lines adds Kitchen in the PK...and Kompon in the PP. just to show that they can play better.

5-1 Hawks. Sill amazed at the respect being given to the Wings by Hawk fans. They suck as much as weekend morning games....that's a lot of suck.

Stu you better be ready for a good ole fashion mounting.

I'm really interested in hearing the starting roster for this one.

At the end of the day though this game is Bergerons to lose.

On paper and logically the 'hawks should walk away with this series. The problem is the leaders of Detroit's lineup have been there and done that more times than Grimson has licked Lundqvist's clockweights, and the 'hawks do occasionally play down to or overestimate an opponent. And sometimes, the only thing that stops our boys from doing that is to be beaten by a team that we shoud never lose to.

I don't think expecting our boys to drop 1 or 2 to Dertoit is that far fetched, but it has less to do with "Detroit is a great team" and more to do wth "our boys better stay focused for the full 60."

Oh I agree the Wings leadership is still top notch. You will never hear me bad mouth Datsyuk ever. I hate Zetterberg but I respect that guy a whole lot. Im never going to say the Wings aren't going to score goals and be in the games but at the end of it the Hawks blueline is just extremely impressive and I don't think the Wings have the team to counter it anymore. It's one of the best defensive groups I have ever seen to be honest (at least in this era). Will they turn over the puck here and there? Of course they will and that is where Detroit is indeed dangerous. Thats a team that makes you pay on your mistakes. Game 1 through the entire game the Wings had scoring chances off of Hawk turnovers. But..the Hawks also recover well and I have complete faith in Crawford being the last stop. Although Howard had a hell of a game one I don't think he is enough for the Wings as a last resort. He was done in that 3rd period..exhausted. And that's another thing. Don't think the Wings legs are going to hold up after that 7 game series with the Ducks. Looked to me that they were having some problems late in game 1 due to exactly that. The last 2 days off are going to help them for game 2 though for sure.

And it's all about depth to me. Always has been in this game. When guys like Kruger are potting helper goals off the 4th line then that speaks volumes to me. Again it's not about Detroit being bad (even though I use the word sucks a lot) it's about how good this Hawks team really is in comparison to them from top to bottom. Not just on paper...hawks are a really good team as we all know. nothing but a cup final appearance is going to satisfy most of us...myself included. The best thing of all is we have yet to see the best out of guys like Toews yet (not that he has been bad his defensive game is still tops). I think we have seen the best out of the Wings players. I don't think there is a "next level" for the Wings...the Hawks honsetly haven't reached theirs yet. Some say it should have been there by now? Not sure if I agree. That Wild series was short..had a lot of time off before this series. That Wild series was also strange in the fact that it was a trap series..yet the Hawks scored plenty enough goals..just not from guys like Toews or Kane (even though Kane was mr set up man). Wait till those two open the goal scoring flood gates..and it will happen.

Q can also coach along side Babcock any day of the week. If not out coach him.

i don't like setting myself up for disappointment and I usually am protective of that. Not this series though. When the Hawks face the Kings in round 3 (which will happen) then i put my guard up more. LA is kind of scaring me right now.

I like that it is on a humane time here in Europe. I've been sleep deprived since the season started with all the 2am to 4am starts here. Only missed maybe a handful of games and that's mainly because I've been out drinking and passed out as soon as I've gotten home.
