Money or championships.

Cleveland can probably get him with sign and trade but he has said he doesn't want to go there.

So what's he going to do? Take the extra $30 million and go to Cle or start collecting his rings in Chicago?

I wonder if he'll end up making a decision he doesn't wanna make. Going to Cleveland.

Well if he does go to Cleveland, I think it's because of both. He can obviously compete for the title with Lebron and he can still get his money. I have to believe that is where he is going to end up.

LeBron/Bosh aren't beating the Magic or Celtics. They just aren't.

If Wade/Boozer come to Chicago, no way the Cavs get past the Bulls.

This mindset is stupid as hell. I'm willing to bet that each team that talked to Bosh has a plan for championships down the line, if not immedietly. Simply because we are in the best position to win one perhaps next eyar with the guys we bring in doesn't mean that in another season or two a team could have a better long term layout or strategy than us to win one. NJ or NY could make the case to Lebron(and in NJ's case reportedly have) that maybe they don't win the championship next year but with further aqusitions ('Melo, development of guys like Lopez, Harris, Favors, Williams, etc) that they would be in position to win multiplie championships for years. So the question could then become does Bosh/Wade/Lebron care about winning one next year or waiting one season and winning multiple ones.

Starting to seem like Wade/LeBron don't want Chicago leaping up in the eastern conference...If they re-sign with their current teams, I hope the Bulls get the chance to play the Heat in the playoffs...I think that once Bosh joins Wade(or LeBron), the other may jump to the Bulls. I wouldn't mind Bosh going to Cleveland, think Wade would then sign with the Bulls. Don't think Wade will sign with Miami with anything less than Bosh/LeBron with him. I love how the whole "loyalty" thing was brought up a few weeks ago about the Bulls...didn't that greaseball Pat Riley fire Stan Van Gundy just so he could coach the team once they were ready to compete for a title? Can't stand Pat Riley one bit.

IF the Bulls do in fact have the option of Trading Luol Deng for Marcin Gortat and Mickael Peitrus then I WANT the Bulls to do everything they can to trade for Chris Bosh. Get him here and the ball is in our court now.

As much as I'd hate to do it, if it means/helps us to get LeBron, then I am all for a Joakim Noah, 2011 1st Round Pick, and the TPE for Chris Bosh. (which im assuming is better then what most teams can offer)

We should have just enough money left to sign Omer Asik and then fill out the rest of the roster with veteran minimum contracts.

Your left with:
PG: Derrick Rose
SG: Mickael Pietrus
SF: LeBron James // James Johnson
PF: Chris Bosh // Taj Gibson
C: Marcin Gortat // Omer Asik

That team looks crazy good. My worry however, is that I'm starting to think that the rumored Chicago/Orlando deal was just a giant rumor b/c that team just makes WAY to much sense and I feel like if it was true then this would have been done already. (unless we were realllly shooting for a way to keep Noah)

They don't. That trade idea was shut down before the draft.

LOL at Omer Asik.

You guys spend too much time on Hoopshype and Realgm.

-Is there a link showing that the trade idea was shut down, let alone shut down before the draft?

-I got some high hopes for Omer Asik. Or atleast high enough hopes that he can be a very solid back up center able to play 15-20 mins.

-and yes i spend way to much time on realgm. i'd probably be on there now but its blocked by my work.

Nobody is going to pay Boozer a max deal. I can promise you that. Not even the Nets who are just dying to spend money like it grows on trees.
He probably wont but thats not what im trying to say. Im just saying that you dont need to be worth your contract. Teams have so much cap and so little talent that players will get overpaid

Yeah no way they give him the max. 13+ at best so we can still sign Wade to a max deal.

Luol Deng to the Magic unlikely - Orlando Sentinel

Magic GM: Team hasn’t spoken with Bulls about Luol Deng – Orlando Magic BasketBlog – Orlando Sentinel

LOL wow. Asik has barely been able to stay healthy enough to compete overseas and has been very underwhelming when he has and now people expect him to play meaningful minutes on an NBA team playing for a championship?

There's high hopes and then there's dementia.

I'd be interested to know what about Asik gives you any hope at all...let alone high hopes because I'm willing to bet less than 1% of the fans that talk about him have even seen him play.
