Yeah because Asik's 12 minutes per game and 3pts 4 rebs and <1 block per game sure showed me.

Only Chicago fans could fall in love with that.

i disagree, mavs fans were convinced that corey brewer's defense would be the difference between past mavs teams...he's played 23 minutes all postseason lol. hype happens everywhere.

At least Brewer at some point in his career had been a solid NBA contributor to base the hype off of to a certain extent.

he's skinny as hell and shoots barely over 40%, contributor is relative. let's put it this way, he started less than half the games for the minnesota timberwolves. he is not a good player.

As if this has anything to do with being a good player. How buff is Durant?

Just because I don't trust people here to understand this point;

I am in no way comparing Brewer to Durant as an actual basketball player. I am simply pointing out that skinny players can be REALLY good at basketball. Being skinny isn't some "point" in regards to saying if the player is good, bad, or really shitty.

he started less than half the games for the minnesota timberwolves. he is not a good player.

Is there a CCS course I'm missing out on about how to make up stats?

Brewer played in 232 games for the Wolves. He started in 63% of those games. Including one season starting all 82. Someone might have to check my math but I'm pretty sure 63% is more than "less than half".

My point wasn't that Brewer was "good" it was that hype, however "wrong", at least makes more "sense"(if one can even use that word here) with Brewer than it does with Asik.

Way to miss the point.

:clap:

i see what point you're trying to make in all of this, but you can't compare the hype of a proven player in our league and starter to a player who came from europe....
