Im not sure why people keep stating he went to the right guy when no one is stating anything to the contrary......

I don't think given how the play progressed he was in a great position to set up for the pass, I could definitely be wrong.

Like I said, agreeing to disagree.

I have no issue with him targeting a open guy downfield there.

Normally, when we discuss bad decisions, it's saying there was a better option. Decision making when discussing the quarterback is more deciding were the pass should go or throwing the ball away. Jay for example usually has the poor decision making blunders like throwing into double coverage.

That's why when you say bad decision, most people will disagree.

Uh what?

I don't think you're reading what i'm writing....If you CAN'T plant your feet, and in this case given how the play unfolded it didn't seem to me to seem like he could plant normally, you should either throw it away or choose a closer target.

That's all I am saying....he should have known they were in decent position to make it very difficult on Oak. to win the game without the completion and not delivered the ball in a marginal spot mechanically. I can't break it down for you any easier, or we just are agreeing to disagree on whether he could have set up the pass better with his feet. I haven't watched a replay or anything; just relaying my impressions of the play.

Of course it was a bad pass, that has nothing to do with my point, but I suppose that gets thanks on here, lol.

There were a lot of throws he made today where he was unable to plant due to bad oline play.

Gase could do more to help him. Not a great called game. He runs great plays and we look like an NFL O but he's not necessarily running the right ones at the right time....yet.

Oh my goodness. The guy is a legit OC in the NFL and has shown he can call a game but it's so much easier for fans to call the plays after the fact while sitting on the couch behind a tv set. Hahaha

LOL! Please don't tell me you're one of those fools that actually still believes the official 9/11 story...

Tell me again how many of the 19 hijackers were Iraqi or Afghani? Oh wait, none where. 15 Saudis, 2 from UAE, 1 from Lebanon, and one from Egypt.

So obviously the next logical step was to start a pointless quagmire in Afghanistan and invade Iraq because Saddam has WMDs... :bizarro: makes perfect sense... :bizarro:

Never mind the fact that our own intelligence agencies have testified to the fact that they knew what these assholes were up to..

Never mind the fact that the flight instructor that tested Hani Hanjour stated that he trouble controlling and landing the single-engine Cessna 172 but yet he was somehow able to perform a complex aerial decent maneuver in a 757 that would be difficult for even a fighter jet to pull off....

I could go on for days with the bullshit surrounding 9/11.

If you still buy the official 9/11 story and believe we went to war because they hate our freedom and we needed to protect us poor civilians from imminent threat to our freedom, I've got some beach front property in Nebraska I'd love to sell you. They dragged us into that mess for the same reason as always, geopolitics, resources (oil, minerals, heroin) and so Cheney and his Halliburton buddies could profit billions working clean up. At the very least our government knew about it and allowed it to happen, at the very worst people like Cheney were directly involved in letting it happen (i.e - standing down air defense and allowing a plane [probably actually a drone or missile] hit the pentagon).

I actually agree with you on most of your points, but you shouldn't disrespect the troops.

Oh, I understand why some people are jumping to some conclusions, but when you get explicit about what you mean and people are still making points that aren't even tangential to it.....

You know what, forget it.

Decision making for a QB encompasses a lot more than what most people on CCS seem to believe it does. I guess that's what i've learned here. Sometimes it's rational to completely eschew spots that-IN A VACUUM-you let fly even off balance because of game situations that dictate taking any real risk has a a negative expectation from a risk versus reward analysis. It's quite possible that in the 1st qtr of a game that that pass, even without the ability to set one's self, might be a good decision, and in the 4th given that particular situation is was a bad decision.

I am writing this as playing online poker, so I have no idea if that will make sense, but yeah, I think I am done explaining it.

Keep telling yourself that bro, whatever helps you sleep at night. I'm sure the million+ dead Iraqi's would beg to differ on how positive things were for them.

Sorry but you'll get no respect from me for buying into the propaganda and wasting 6 years of your life in the military so Cheney and his Halliburton buddies could make billions off another pointless war in the Middle East.

Oh and I just love how you military guys always try and lay on the guilt trip about how you're fighting for us... as if we're actually under some sort of threat of foreign invasion or something. Yes, thank god you were out there keeping those scary Muslims from invading the states, toppling the government, and installing Sharia law. Just think I would be stuck in some mosque praying instead of watching football if it wasn't for you and your service.

Hurrr duuurrr they hate us for our freedom!!!! :bizarro::bizarro::bizarro::bizarro:
Jesus Broc you're a fucking idiot. Go join ISIS.

I thought Jay had someone wide open on the other side of the field on that INT. Looked that way, anyways. The fumble was also on him. It was directly to his hands and he just botched it.

Overall, he played well. I thought he moved around in the pocket really well which is encouraging. He missed a couple of throws that he should make, and the turnovers obviously hurt, but he played well enough to win. No Alshon, O-line was banged up and moved around, good performance all things considered. Also good to see the defense continuing to generate pressure and get some 3 and outs. Team win all the way around.

I didn't like the play call on the int. 3rd and short and you call this play? Also, Bennett was open early but Cutler threw it too late in his route.

3rd and 1 you need to give it to Langford or Rodgers. The type of play where he threw the interception is getting too cute and not keeping him reigned in. Gase will learn hopefully.

All in all Cutler played a hell of a game.

If it's short yardage, especially on the goal line, I'd like to see Quiz in there. It'd be nice if Langford could get more carries. Maybe 8 per game for Langford and 4-5 for Quiz, mainly in short yardage.

The fumbled snap was hardly anyone's fault. Slauson was playing center for the first time in his career in a close game. That's no one's fault. Oh wait, no, it's Leno's fault.

Some of the haters just can't give Cutler credit for a good game. 65% completion, 281 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT. That's a pretty good game. It could've been better if he wasn't injured. It was obviously hampering his movement in the pocket. And he didn't get to run down the field like he did in the first 2 games this year. The coaching staff has done a good job so far of keeping Cutler from making too many bad decisions. He's not risking throws like he was when Marshall was here. Woodson made a good play on an underthrown ball. Mathews made a great play tricking Cutler down the middle. What I'm not seeing this year is Cutler throwing jump balls in the middle of the field. That's a huge improvement which can be accredited to the coaching staff.

Bears won today! Enjoy the week! Cutler helped win the game today even though he almost lost it. Gould came through even though it's obvious he's not who he used to be. We had a bad injury to the oline early but still won vs Aldon and Mack. Props mi bois, props!

He did good but you also have to be realistic that this is not something he does all the time or rather hardly. Also he threw a third costly int that almost cost us the game which previously did on the other 2. It was a great game by him and hope he can be consistent like he has been with his ints

Both ints he could have planted and driven. On today's pic, he could have put more on it regardless of his feet however.

It was a bad throw. The decision on where the ball should have gone was correct though.

You should go abort your "brain" with a rusty coathanger. No need to feel bad about it, it is just a small clump of cells-not fully developed.

I totally agree with this. I at first thought it was a bad decision, but it was the right one, it was just a bad throw.

Forte hardly ever fumbles. He got a hard helmet hit on the hand carrying the ball. Doubt many ball carriers would have held onto that ball. There were quite a few bad snaps that Cutler had to corral in. Does anyone know why they moved Slauson to center and not Grasu? Grasu is a center, correct?

This! A million times.

I'm more happy for this coaching staff than anything. I think they are working hard to field a professional looking football team with very little talent and the just crazy amount of injuries they seem to have each and every game.
