Has Houston been getting any plays on the DL or is he been strictly playing OLB?

In the mod forum planning your ban
As coach of the Broncos he made Manning take a knee 40 seconds before half when the Broncos were on their opponents'45 yard line

Seeing the way Manning is playing now he made the right choice

Some said in another thread that Shea reminded them of Hunter Hillenmeyer. Not the greatest physical player like Lach or Briggs but smart. Got to where he was needed. I have to agree with this. While not a great physical player, he has the brains and played enough different positions to understand the game. Sometimes you need a player like that. The Bears were never the same after HH left. Not a huge drop off, but noticeable.

The constant run for 1 or 2 yards on first down was tedious. Everyone was expecting it, why not take a shot occasionally or at least do something other than an interior run.

Other than that I thought they lost their nuts when they ran three times in a row for almost zero yards, when a first down or two could have won them the game.

I thought Cutler kept us in this game as best he could. Bennett dropping a TD hurts. The INT was more a great play by the corner than it was a bad through. The only bad play by Jay IMO was the overthrow to Forte on 3rd down.

We lost this game because Fox got conservative, plain and simple.

I'm not sure what Jeffery's route was there, but it seemed like if that ball is thrown to the outside, it's a TD. But it was thrown inside, and was an INT.

he also played for overtime with manning in his prime, in the play offs... and then lost. lol

that Ravens game that went to like triple overtime? I was traveling from Rockford to Niles for work then, I listened to that whole thing, and then they lost. I really like Peyton Manning, was hoping he could win that. oh well

yep thats the one.

tied game, play offs, and you have peyton in his prime under center, 30 seconds on the clock and 2 time outs and you take a knee. lol

and I may be wrong but Im pretty sure on the series before that instead of attempting to get a first and run out the clock Fox had the O run it 3 times and punt it back to the ravens allowing them to tie the game. sounds familiar.

I do not know what you do with Kyle Fuller.

Disappointing.

Cut him?

Alshon looked a bit rusty in the first half, but came on later. I would expect that from someone who hasn't played much or at all this season.

It looked to me that the Lions saw something in the KC game, namely a defensive line weakness inside that they then exploited with their running game.

Or maybe we were without our starting nose tackle and are literally signing people off the streets to play DL.

Disappointing.

One of the supposed Bears insiders on 670 this morning was saying that Fuller might be close to be moved to safety. That's just radio guys doing their thing and might be zero inside info. With that said I like their reasoning as to why he should be moved there. The guy does seem to enjoy moving up to help on the run and not afraid to put his head down and make an attempt to lay some wood.

I think Fuller is on a short leash at CB. The thing he has most in his favor right now is the other CB talent on the roster. Yet the first DB to show some flash will be moved into his position. Which is one of the things I like about Fox. He doesn't seem to hesitate moving a player out of a starting role when its needed.

for his first game back after missing so much time jeffery looked damn good.

I gave him a lot of grief for not playing like a #1 last year. I didn't feel like he was making great catches, getting great YAC & the penalties were ridiculous.

Going by his performance yesterday though, I would say he showed some pretty good WR production. If he keeps playing like that on pretty consistent basis, I'm all in on them signing him long term for good money. Good money being low end elite or just short of elite WR money. Whatever that might be, its more money than I would have like to see them give him coming into yesterday's game. He also needs to stay healthy of course. That would go along way towards him getting paid a hefty salary.

I can also see him playing well and the team franchising him. That will probably be very dependent upon White status in the coming months.

On the pick

-Bad Throw
-Not a great effort from Jeffery
-Nice jam by Mathis and then he caught the ball

Bad offense, and a good play by the CB.

Exactly what i saw.

At first i thought it was more on Alshon not trying hard enough but then watching the replay it was a really bad throw, poor effort by Alshon, and good defense.

Trade him to Lovie for an interior lineman.

Throw in Houston for a 6th rounder......
OK both for a 4th rounder total
