If you were her would you still dump him? Or would you try to fix it because of the baby?

He'd be history. If he would behave that way while his poor wife is pregnant, how much worse would he be when she wasn't.

Yeah that is what I think she should do too.

But Weiner’s wife is no ordinary political wife. Abedin’s parents were both academics from India and Pakistan. A practicing Muslim born in Michigan, Abedin moved to Saudi Arabia as a young girl, and returned to the US to attend college at George Washington University (GWU).

During a White House internship in 1996, Abedin was mistakenly assigned to the first lady’s office when she had requested to be in the press office. She has been a close aide to Hillary Clinton ever since. From Traveling Chief of Staff to Deputy Chief of Staff, to her current Senior Aide position in Clinton’s State Department, Abedin is never far from the Secretary of State, and is often dubbed as “Hillary’s shadow,” and “secret weapon.” Last year, Fmr. President Bill Clinton, who refers to Abedin as a daughter, officiated her wedding to Weiner in Long Island.

Keep some of that in mind before placing your bets folks.

Which Part? The part where he is just taking after his new Daddy Bubba, and will probably be mocked but otherwise have no ramifications?

Yeah, kinda sorta. Also the stuff about the wife working for Hillary and being very connected in DC. If she doesn't want him to lose his job, then he probably won't and all of this ranting from both sides the last few days will have been for naught.

All of the people who are ranting are well aware of who his wife is and are just ranting for show. I doubt his fellow politicians could really give a shit.

How was he supposed to know? Bill Maher said it best last night, "we shouldn't care this much, after all Weiner wasn't even getting any! We should call him Hand on Weiner, not Anthony Weiner."

You put this on her to get a rise out of us, like he preyed on a child. She shouldn't have been sexting with a random internet personality. Where were her parents?????

I heard this on Amanpour's show today...but what is sexting rehab exactly?

This all really is just a big fucking joke and a (albeit partially self inflicted) political assassination.

Has he actually done anything illegal?

While he's a douchebag and I wouldn't vote for him again, he is guilty of some of the worst choices ever, I'm just not sure he's broken any laws? I'm positive there is much worse things going on right now that are not known and I wish the reporters would start looking for that shit. Should we hold them to a higher standard? Of course, I guess since they represent us, but at the same time they are human and millions of dumbasses are doing exactly what he's being public ally hanged for. I mean, if he's getting it this bad for not doing anything actually wrong (I'm not sure? That's why I asked?) Why don't people get worse for doing things actually wrong, like parking tickets and such... Everyone gets those too.

You really don't think there is anything wrong with it and that he shouldn't lose his elected position because of it?

I don't get how people can not be repulsed by such behavior. And many complain that politicans are sleazeballs yet condone such activities. I just can not comprehend.

Throughout the history of time thinks that have been found repulsive has become a norm. Yes, I think it's disgusting and all of that, but how does being repulsive make it illegal? Hence my question. Was anything he did actually illegal? I mean, president's throughout history have been caught doing worse. With less fanfare.

It's things like this that really show what a joke the media and this entire system in general is. A complete side show. I enjoy it.

I don't think he should lose his elected position. Nevermind anything else, he ain't my congressman. That is for the folks in his district in his state to decide.

How can I be repulsed? A man is titillated by getting attention from girls? Stop the presses! A married man lied when caught? Holy shit, I can't believe that happened! It should have never been! I am so shocked.

From all accounts, his constituents like/liked him. He fought for them, and gave them what he could and was/is a good congressman for them. If he likes to have people look at his dong, and he does his job fine otherwise, I don't care.

This is honestly none of our business. Zero. It is between him and his wife.
