I didn't follow the draft process at all, and am pretty ambivalent about the pick; can someone explain how it was obvious someone else was going to snag MT at #2 by paying SF a king's ransom for the right to pick Mitch?


I am not saying it isn't so, just asking what the EVIDENCE of that is exactly?

I'll say this, THIS IS IT FOR PACE, MAKE OR BREAK. He either shows something at QB significant by the end of 2018, or Pace is completely done as a GM imho.

He has made a bold move, and maybe it will pay off....but the onus is now on MT to show out for his boy Pace.

It's well known that CLE loved Trubisky and wanted him at 12 and some said they'd take him over Garrett at 1 as late as this morning. When we started hearing rumors that other teams like the Jets at 6 liked him as well it was obvious that 12 wouldn't be good enough and a trade up to 2 would be needed. CLE had the firepower to do this, Pace wasn't going to risk it.

If you believe the 9ers were going to trade out of the #2 spot to a spot that theyd likely lose out on Thomas you are as big a fool as Pace is. Trubisky was going to be there at #3. The Bears got played.

The 9ers werent going to take TRub but sold the bears on the idea they were and Pace the idiot he is fell for it and like a little bitch! paid the ransom. The 9ers were taking Soloman at #2 which is why they only traded down one spot because they knew he`d still be there. Youre telling me no other teams made a better offer for the #2? gimmie a break! We got played because of the ineptitude of the bozos running this organization.

I hope Trub turns out to be the franchise qb we`ve all wanted for decades because if hes not Pace just set this franchise back another 5 years at least and we better get used to drafting near the top of the draft. Im really hoping they draft for offense because we need to start getting this kid some weapons and protection in place. later fellas. Ill be going into my 3 month exile as i promised if i was wrong about not picking a qb.
