We should have a contest... predict how many more games it will take for the hawks to get a team to 0.... I say columbus goes 0 in 9 more games...

9 more games each, I assume? I ask cause the MN is 28 now. That means, either 1) 14 Hawk wins, 2) 14 CBJ losses, 3) 7 Hawk wins and 7 CBJ losses. etc....

They technically can, but not on their own. They would really have to run the tables in March and then get help with the other teams losing a bunch.

Yes, in 9 hawk games and 9 Columbus games, Columbus will hit 0 is what I was trying to say. If the hawks win they go up 2 right, and if CBJ loses they can go down two? I believe you meant CBJ is at 28 now and not MN... so with 9 hawks games and 9 CBJ games, don't they all have a potential 4 point swing, or is that only when they play each other? by my calculations that 36 points... to get 28?

Sorry...MN=magic number. The magic number can only go down, not up. You are right though....If Hawks win on a night and CBJ lose (in regulation), the magic number goes down 4. If Hawks and CBJ win on a night, then it only goes down 2 (for the Hawks win). That's why beating them head to head in regulation is good, cause it's a 4 point swing.

Yeah... so if CBJ loses the next 9 and hawks win the next 9 all in regulation that's a 36 point swing... right... and the MN is 28... so they would do it within the 9 games.. that might be cutting it tight thought because I forgot about OTs.... I'll say 11, cause that's my lucky number. haha. Hawks win next 11... so that's 22... that means that CBJ only need to lose 6 more of the 22. haha. piece of cake.

Regulation + Overtime Wins. Wins not including shootouts. It's the first tiebreaker if teams are tied in pts at the end of the season.
