I literally just got done eating some S&V kettle chips. Delicious.

Not as delicious as Lays Dill Pickle chips, though. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find them since I moved to Texas.

Haha...it was just funny because I set the bag down, pick my phone up and see his post on hating those chips. Had to post it.

To stay on topic...

I hate drivers around here in Texas. I just moved here from Illinois and it seems like 2/3 of the people around here drive like they have their head up their ass. Maybe that's why my car insurance went up like 50%. Also, I've never been somewhere where so many drivers drive so damn slow. If you go 5 over the speed limit on the damn expressways you pass almost everyone. On normal roads people drive under the speed limit all the time and it pisses me off.

People born and raised in Chicago who randomly decide to be a HUGE fan of an out of state team in any sport and then pretend like its some natural thing, not that they are assholes who chose to root for the Miami Heat cause they have been winning or the New England Patriots because they have won alot in the last 10 years, or they are New York Yankees fans with Derek Jeter jerseys..... **** off you are not a loyal fan to anything, you just pick teams that happen to be winning at the time.

Even worse IMO are girls who pick a football team to root for based on how cute the QB is and then claim "They have always been big Packer, Patriot, New Orleans, Cowboy, etc, fans"....

At least admit it when you are a bullshit fan who picked outside your locale just to be different or just to root for the best team at the time, I could live with that.

PS: When is the last time you met someone do this and say they were a huge Browns fan or a huge Phoenix Coyotes fan? Never.

I work with an older guy who grew up literally in the shadow of old Comiskey Park. He's a Sox and Bulls fan but he's also a Packers fan.

One day I asked him how this was possible and he told me a couple of stories of when he was a kid and got to meet Bart Starr and even managed to get taken on a tour through their locker room in Lambeu.

I don't remember the exact details of the story but I think it was because he was standing in line for Starr's autograph and when he got to the front they told him that he had to buy some $10 photograph and Bart wouldn't sign anything else. Well he didn't have $10 and Bart heard them talking and told him to stand off to the side. After the session was over he got his name and address and ended up sending him a big box full of signed stuff.

The other story was that they went to Lambeu and his mom starting chatting with another lady not realizing it was one of the player's wives. So whatever player it was ended up taking them through the lockerroom to meet all the other players.

So sometimes there is a legit reason.

I also knew a guy that was born and raised in Illinois and was a huge Seahawks fan. Never did figure out why.

I can share my own story. Father had a friend who moved to Houston and cheered on the Oilers. I would listen to them talk and had a lot of respect for them. He would send me pennants every now and then as well. Guess what? I supported the Oilers.

Then Dallas. Saw Tom Landry and jsut thought he was the man amongst boys when it came to his demeanor as a Coach. Guess what? Cowboy fan.

Television used to show only big games on weekends and usually during the day. I got to follow Bird's career that way. Celtic fan, to this day.

Detroit Red Wings is a funny story. Playing Strat-o-Matic Hockey with my neighbor who was a Blues fan. He loved Hull and would crush me each time we played. Then the late 80's Wings with Yzerman had some amazing cards and I could beat my neighbor with them. That stuck with me and I've supported them ever since.

I could go on...but the only Chicago Team I support as my #1 are the White Sox.

You guys are providing examples kinda outside my rant.... I was talking born and raised Chicago.... my sister for example born and raised Chicago, whole family of Bears fans, Dad had season tickets and took us to Bears games when we were kids, but yet she decides when she is like 12 that she is a Packer's fan cause Brett Favre is her favorite.... Another guy I went to high school with.... born and raised Chicago fan by his family, come high school he decides he is now a Patriot's fan (cause they were good).

I understand and accept you reasoning.... the fact that you admit a Family friend influenced you, or Tom Landry was the best, or Bird was amazing, I don't agree on choosing my teams that way, but I get it and appreciate the admission.

Often people I have known have decided they are Colt fans and now Bronco fans or now Raven fans..... and claim it just happened some magical way and they became HUGE fans.... bullshit, there is an influence you don't want to admit, and more often than not its you just wanna root for the winner that year.

You two I respect, carry on gentlemen.

I get it. My brother-in-law is a huge Cowboys fan simply because he grew up watching Troy Aikman and Emmit Smith. Everyone else in the family is a Bears fan.

So you hate bandwagoner jumpers. Doesn't matter how you became a fan, just don;t dump them when they blow which in the case of the Pats is "any day" now.

Speaking of things I hate, that Payton record by Emmitt.

Never would have happened had Smith not been running behind Larry Allen etc...one of the best OL's in NFL history.

True, but not like Payton didn't have above average guys himself. Just think if Sayers never gets hurt....

Since it just bit me in the ass.... workplaces where they make you badge in and out so they can track your time....

time in office = time working ..... what a novel idea.... lets test it as I spend 2 hours a day on CCS and you count it as "work" simply cause I am in the office.

Walter was his own OL from 1975-83....the films will confirm.

Sayer's not a factor, had he not been injured Bears would have been looking for a RB anyways by 75' anyways.

If Sayers doesn't get hurt he goes down as the greatest RB of all time.
