Why do you inane posters insist on posting lies? You know I'm in phenomenal shape. You wouldn't hate on me so if you truly came from a place of love.

It's just inspiration to help you stay on track. It comes from love sparty.

@Jamais Vu was it you that recommended Gia Mia Neapolitan pizza in Wheaton? I think it was you, we are going there tonight for 1/2 priced pizza Monday, I skipped lunch so I can go after it tonight.

Not me.

IIRC I have only been to Wheaton once in my life for an ex's family reunion...never had any pizza. I lived in Downers Grove for less than a year when I first moved back to the state about 15 years ago...that was my entire West Burbs experience.

Bavarian Hot Ham N' Cheese from this German joint with sweet potato fries. Wasn't feeling a currywurst tonight. Very carby and very delicious

My carby hot dog meal was awesome. My wife has a hard time with toast, and boiling water, so I do almost all cooking. She made hot dogs yesterday, and put ketchup and mayo on them. They were f***ing awesome, and I don't give a shit about your Chicago condiment condescension.

Ketchup on a hot dog is fine...

for children. Mayo on a hot dog is disgusting, add some relish to that mayo ketchup mixture and you have 1000 island salad dressing. Maybe you should try a roasted garlic, balsamic vinegrette on your next hot dog, then put mustard on your salad, you freak!

I think you guys missed that it was a rare meal prepared for me, and not by me. It was conceptual joy, not culinary.

I have those meals as well. I do most of the cooking because I like to do it, but on the rare occasion my wife decides to make dinner I love it no matter how terrible it is.

Wife is that bad in the kitchen huh? There are other rooms for women to excel in.

When we moved in together, my future wife had no cooking skills, over the years she has perfected a handful of great recipes out of necessity. When you have a kid you gotta cook, when my parents retired to AZ we took over the holidays and within 2 years she perfected turkey, standing rib roast, and ham. I'm still a 10x better cook than her and she admits it.

I gotta ask her to make beef stroganoff, I know that's a Winter dish, it's just so damn good.

I cooked some chicken. Put some seasoning from Puckett's in Nashville on it. Not bad at all.

My wife makes me too nervous when she is in the kitchen to have the patience for that to happen. When you have the skill to cook fish to a similar texture as raw coconut, it's time to take a seat.

I love cooking, but have to admit one's own cooking can get tiresome, and having a meal prepared for you becomes a huge treat, no matter what it is.

No such thing as a winter dish. Thinking about firing up some chili and cinna roll combo this weekend

Arby’s classic beef and cheddar

There is some serious Arby's hate out there, I like the B&C with extra Arby'd and horsey sauces.

I think of stews, soups, casseroles, chili, meat loaf and such as fall & winter meals, I'll eat them year round if they're good, but traditionally that is cold weather food. Summer is all about BBQ, brats, burgers, fish, grilled veggies, that kind of thing. But like I said I want that beef stroganoff this week, so the winter summer thing is not a rule written in stone.
