Was 60 degress today so we went hiking. Grabbed a late lunch at a small hometown diner. Shit was bomb. Then had a late dinner - hot ham n cheese sliders. Take Kings Hawaiian rolls and cut in halve. Slap down some ham. Slap down some cheese on top. Put the top back on. Brush with some oil. Bake for 15 min. Simple and delish.

Sounds like a solid day. I kinda want to make fun of hiking through cornfields, but I realize there are pockets of Iowa that aren't that. And you're also one of my favorite posters here. So there's that. Obilgitory DID YOU FINISH THE DAY WITH CINNABONS?!?!

Everyone in the nvan household has been in varying stages of sickness for the last few weeks. It's finally hitting me, although I almost never actually get sick. Just teetering on the edge. I pump myself full of vitamin C and try and sleep as much as possible. That usually does the trick.

So I made a big ass pot of some chicken noodle soup. Plenty of shredded chicken, egg noodles, carrots, onion, celery, basil, chicken broth, garlic, oregeno and some salt & pepper.

I can't eat soup by itself for a meal so also made myself a turkey sandwich to go along with it. Thick-cut toasted white bread, mayo, turkey breast, romaine lettuce, some nice heirloom tomatoes, avocado and some gouda. Also hit with some more salt and pepper on the tomatoes while assembling.

Not exactly gourmet, but it was pretty damn good.
That actually sounds delicious for recovering from the nasties.

I missed one of my favorite Arizona staples on this trip because we had to get our asses home today and I slept in a bit instead of getting up for food. Bad me.

If you ever find yourself in the east valley a trip to Los Favritos for a carne asada burrito is a must.

I am still a little mad that I am back in Burque and I didn't get one.

That soup sounds pretty damn good. You got me with the egg noodles, I've had a craving for some.

Yeah well you don’t hike up a mountain or anything like that but there are tons of lakes with trails and wooded areas to explore. No cinna buns, that wouldn’t pair well with a ham n cheese slider ?

I just ate some crab & cheese stuffed mushrooms, bread, a caesar salad, a huge bone in rib eye and a loaded baked potato. I feel like I need to go the **** to sleep.
