They will. If not next season the one after that.

I don't think you guys will be able to handle it. I don't understand this love for Lovie. He's no more a Bear than Dave Wannstedt is or was.

I don't want a coach who is a "bear" I want a coach who is a football coach.

Depends on who it is, if it's someone who will help them have an offense that isn't something that will sputter out of control then it's fine. If its a normal Bears hire which why would be a inexperienced head coach. Can't see why your assumig it would be a Bill Cowher like hire with the McKrapskies and Ted Phillips still in charge (Because all you mention non stop is the coach and not the worse front office issues)

Seriously you had to make another thread on this issue, the 100 posts you have made on the subject and the 3 other threads were not enough?

If you honestly think that a change in head coach puts this hosting the Lombardi trophy in a season or two then you need to seek help. Coaching is not the issue with this team, we have clearly outperformed our potential with the talent on this roster. If anything coaching has been our strong point this season.

Until you can provide legitimate proof on why Lovie Smith should lose his job this season then I think you need to keep quite on the subject because the Bears forum is already trashed enough by the morons who still think this is 1985.

Also what the **** does Dave Wannstedt have to do with Lovie Smith?

Willis Tower? No, it's the Sears Tower and always will be. Damn Canadians.

I agree the front office is bad but that will never change and I gave up on that idea a long time ago.

I want someone who can coach football too for a change.

You also claim that Jay Cutler is an awful quarterback and that both Kevin Kolb and Kyle Orton are superior players. So lets just assume Lovie Smith is a problem and we replace him. By your logic we would win a Superbowl with a sub-par quarterback just because we would have a fiery head coach?

Please you're so full of inconsistencies that is almost seems like you ***** over anything you can out of the sheer joy of complaining.

*For the record I do not think Cutler is a sub-par Quarterback, if he had an offensive line and a better receiving core he would be a perennial Probowl player.*

The Bears have been known as the Monsters of the Midway since 1939. Especially when they dominated in the 40's.

They stopped being worthy of the nickname around 1990.

Yes, I like to think of the Bears teams from the first 50 years rather than the last 20 but I'm well aware it's 2010. Painfully aware.

You guys are just dumb. Of course they need a new QB too and a lot of other positions.

I'm here to discuss Bears football not kiss the asses of people who don't deserve it. I'm sorry those two things conflict so much for you.

How is Lovie Smith not a legitimate head coach? How many coaches in the NFL are legit then? because very few Head coaches have multiple division wins, regular season conference wins, Playoff Conference Championships, or have more winning than losing seasons.

What about that makes him illegitimate?

BTW: I'm here to be rational and discuss more current based Chicago sports organizational facts, not care about the erratic emotional ramblings that have no effect or matter into the outcome of the Bears situation.

What does our past have to do with the current league or this team? Do you want us to start running the double wing offense and attempt to rush for 400 yards a game? Lets make our goal to be the "toughest" team in the league and then we can get finessed and beat by the Patriots, Colts, and Saints of the NFL.

This is a completely different league from 1920, heck this is a very different league than it was in 2003. Quit trying to treat it as such. You're such a meatball that it annoys the shit out of me.

No, I see you making excuses not discussing anything rationally. If you were you'd be talking about how the Bears are not that good.

The last time I am going to ask for this, but provide evidence that Jay Cutler and Lovie Smith need to be replaced.

Quit making emotional posts based of your limited sports knowledge and ridiculous expectations.

And you are not very bright. So the league is different in that the Bears can't win anymore. I don't care how they play or what they do just win the Super Bowl.

Teenagers.

Good is not a fitting term, because it's subjective and not based on any standard formulated here. Despite a lot of bad play, they are in position to win their division.. and if the players are so bad and have a losing record? Who is the next logical person to attribute some success too? It would have to be coaches unless your gonna blame single plays in a game like a Dave Wanny and blame the refs or just "bad competition" because you play who you play.

They have a shockingly legit chance to win the super bowl this year... changing coaching next season more than likely lowers their odds of that. Why do you want that sir?

The Bears are 9-4 and are in first place in the NFC North. We are also currently in position for a first round bye in the playoffs. You might have known that if you would follow the team instead of spending all your time trying to convince everyone that Lovie Smith needs to be fired and that Jay Cutler needs to be traded.

I agree with you 100% there. I'll help back this up with some statistics from the Denver days; where he had a decent Offensive Line and just one go-to wideout (Brandon Marshall).

» Jay Cutler's Denver Career Stats = 9,024 Yards, 54 TD's, 37 INT, 87.5 QB Rating

» He guided the second-ranked offense in the NFL.

» He was No. 1 in fewest percentage of sacks, with 11 in 627 pass plays. That equates to one sack every 57 pass attempts.

» He was No. 3 in the NFL in third-down efficiency, the "money" down. The average NFL team converted 39.5 percent of its third downs; Cutler converted 47.5 percent.

» He was No. 3 in the AFC in yards per pass play (7.3).

» He threw for more yards than Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Donovan McNabb, Philip Rivers, Tony Romo and Ben Roethlisberger, just to name a few.

» He had just two 100-yard rushing days from a running back those season(s): Peyton Hillis (129 against the Jets) and Michael Pittman (109 against the Jaguars).

» He had eight games of 300+ passing yards (five of those at 350 or more), connecting for 15 touchdowns in those contests.

» Sure, he threw 18 interceptions, which is unacceptable, but his ratio of picks to attempts was 1:34, which tells a slightly different story. That same season, Brees had an interception every 37 pass attempts. Favre's ratio was 1:23, and Roethlisberger's was 1:31. Cutler's Denver career ratio is 1:33.

» Only Jacksonville's David Garrard threw more passes in the fourth quarter of games than Cutler, who completed 100 of 167 passes for 1,212 ...

Jay Cutler was selected to the Probowl his last season in Denver, pretty impressive feat for a 24 year old. Do you think his statistical regression has anything to do with the talent surrounding him in Chicago? I mean how confident would you be with Frank Omiyale covering your blind side as opposed to Ryan Clady? Do you think that Johnny Knox is on the same level as Brandon Marshall?

Do you ever take into consideration the variables that go into an overall equation or do you just randomly make stupid emotional statements with no proof or thought backing them?

Either way I am done arguing with you from now on. You have proven to be too stupid for me to waste time trying to have an educated debate with.

I wasn't aware of you trying to have an educated debate. Damn, you should have told me. Somebody cut off his supply of Kool-Aid so he comes back to reality.
