@Anytime23 is the Xbox series s big time poverty compared to series x?
There is a Modern Warfare 2 remastered campaign out there if you haven't played it. Also, ever played Titanfall 2? I realize these are old suggestions, but both are pretty great to scratch a FPS campaign itch.I need recommendations from some of you folks who play the main stay FPS titles.
I bought some Battlefield games when they were on sale last year.

Are any of the Battlefield games actually fun to play on Singleplayer against just the AI?
Last I played them was Battlefield 1942 (The Original) and Battlefield Vietnam, so its been like 15 years.
Have they managed to create any kind of worthwhile Campaigns or Singleplayer sandbox type play, or is it still purely a Multiplayer game on an objective map and if you play alone its just kinda stupid because the AI is bad?
Also if anyone strongly recommends any of the Call of Duty Franchise games from the past several years.
Last I played was Modern Warfare 3, short/fun campaign... worth it on a Steam deal.
I get an FPS itch and can't find any titles that I enjoy enough to play/re-play when the itch comes.
I thought it was gonna be Cyberpunk 2077, but then that house of cards imploded and I didn't even bother finishing the game.
I've played all the:
DOOM
Dishonored
Deus Ex
Fallout
Far Cry
Dead Island
Dying Light
Half Life
L4D

I played all 3 of the Modern Warfare, but certainly am open to re-treads.
I never played any Titanfall in spite of thinking "That looks cool."
I will look at Titanfall 2 at the very least.
I feel like its hard to find FPS where its fun to play it many times over and get unique experiences.
Cyberpunk 2077 had the potential.... the bones were there, and maybe they'll get it there, but it was the exact same fight every time in spite of being in a wide variety of locations lol.
I played each Far Cry from Far Cry 2 onwards at least twice, aside from the newest one which I'm waiting for a sale.
Even in the sandbox it all goes the same way, same enemies in same locations guarding same objectives with same weapons using same tactics wearing same armor dying in the same way.
No one wants to bother building AI for their games when they know they'll be able to get one off the shelf, very soon.
Delta Force, lol.
That's the Black Hawk Down game.
I built my first gaming PC with my Uncle to play that one lol.
I never played the BlackHawk Down version. The first Delta Force was my first PC game, and PC build. Terrible AI. It was the open terrain was what was touted. But it just repeated the same area over and over.
Late 90s/Early 2000s there were many FPS developers kinda selling dreams in the box description of the game lol.
I remember playing Medal of Honor and they did a good job of putting on a façade like it wasn't the same old you versus all the bad guys, but generally the game was just a WW2 FPS with some decent cinema mixed in.
Call of Duty was the first FPS I recall that actually kinda broke the barrier and gave you a Singleplayer campaign experience where, even if the AI was very much still on rails, it still created a simulation as if you were the most important part of the battle, but not the only participant on your side.
I thought the CoD Cold War campaign was pretty fun. Although kinda short, but most of those are.I played all 3 of the Modern Warfare, but certainly am open to re-treads.

Not really. If you buy all your games digitally, it may be worth it to just grab one and then get an external HD.@Anytime23 is the Xbox series s big time poverty compared to series x?
Battlefield 4 campaign was enjoyable for me. I didnt even bother with 1 or V, bc i just uninstalled them when i realized how shitty the multiplayer was.I need recommendations from some of you folks who play the main stay FPS titles.

It Takes Two is a lot of fun if you're ok feeling like a 9 year old for a few hours.I've been looking for a good coop game to play with a friend and we've been playing Sniper Elite 4. Really good game set in WW2 Italy. It's fun as single player as well.
I still think Half Life was seminal. And two games I really enjoyed from that era, because they were different, were the first Deus Ex, and No One lives Forever.
But I stopped gaming when I left Taiwan. Last build was with a Radeon 9700 Pro.
I started playing A Way Out awhile back, but never finished it. I think it's the same publisher, but a little more "adult".It Takes Two is a lot of fun if you're ok feeling like a 9 year old for a few hours.
i believe that was MW2The best call of duty campaign to me was the one Russia invaded. I believe there was a scene that got deleted for some cause it involved a terrorist attack at an airport. Crazy fun campaign but like the others it was short.
It was. That was the best CoD campaign of all time IMO.i believe that was MW2
