Its all good. Just sucks watching a team you learned to love get dismantled even in the smallest ways. I am not done celebrating the cup win and to see guys like Ladd, Buff, Eager, Steeg, Sopel, Burish and even Fraser leave so quickly after they accomplished something so spectacular kind of is hard to swallow. Hawks will move on but this just sucks right now. I don't blame anyone for over reacting a little and being a tad bit choked up about it all. I loved these guys each and every one of them. Some more than others but I watched them work sooo hard to accomplish something so special as a tight unit. BLAH!!!!!!

Memory - aaaaaaall alone in the moonlight.

I can smile at the oooooold days,

I was beautiful then.

I remember the time I knew what happiness was.

Let the memoooooooooooooooory liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive again.

This reminds me of an elite college team winning the National Championship , the celebration goes on for a while, then the realization hits that half the team graduates.

Since generalizations apparantly are not acceptable, use the comparison to a NCAA football champion who lost half their starters. If they want to repeat the replacements have to step up.

Is that good enough or are just trolling for a fucking arguement over nothing?

I'm just saying most collegiate athletes get drafted, but I love painting with a broad brush.

Well don't count Ohio State they don't play fair.

I agree though Tim and TCD. I guess for me I knew in Philly that night it would probably be the last time I saw them on the ice all together. There is no doubt this was one great group of guys. Everyone of them contributed to the final prize. It sucks to see them broken up so soon after winning but it was known months ago this would happen. We knew it, the media, knew it, and most important they knew it. Which was one of the reasons they pushed together so hard.

If they want to have a chance again next year, which not even knowing the final roster I think they can, then they'll have to find that chemistry. We have enough talent and character left here to most certainly be one of the best again.

They will challenge for the Cup again next year. I will cite Jones and twist it a little the other way. "On paper, the 14-15 players right now (assuming Niemi and Hjarlmarsson are signed) is as has as MUCH if not MORE talent than any other NHL's 14-15 players. Add some pieces to the puzzle and who knows, they might be better than this past year.

If I had been painting broads with a brush at 1 AM I sincerely doubt I'd have been on IHN this morning.

No offense.

The Hawks now have some work to do. They can still find some competent players that will fit both Money and Talent wise.[/quote]

Any certain UFA's you had in mind that would fit those requirements?
