It's all relative. There are no Portillo's (or anything remotely similar) in Nor-Cal, so I view Portillo's as a special treat - make a bee-line for it whenever I'm back in the motherland.

Comparatively, people fly out here and hoof it to In'n'Out, which IMO is garbage (albeit good fries).

The fries? Really? Garbage. That's a throwaway item to me there. They are the worst.

One of my favorite TV shows is "No Reservations" with Anthony Bourdain, and he went to this hole in the wall Thai restaurant called Sapp Coffee Shop in Hollywood. I got off work early and had lunch there with my daughter. omg, I had the best bowl of noodles in my life there. Unbelievably good. Anyone living in the LA area needs to go there and order the Thai boat noodles and jade noodles. The broth in the boat noodles is partially made out of... blood! There's no way you can tell that by looking, but it made the broth so damn tasty.

that's just fantastic guys, perhaps you should start a thread about shitty frozen pizza that costs 5 times what it did like 5 years ago, with like 5 times more sodium. Unless you had Tombstone for lunch, then I guess carry on...
I did actually have some for lunch the other day.

Also, I'm not sure how much tombstone costs at your local grocery store but I still get them for under $4 usually.

Oh I like it Omelet, but it's trashy pizza. I can admit that I have problems. I also like steak-ums and hormel ham patties. Yep, low grade dog food. :)
