That's why he wants Kane to get karate training and start going out there looking to get hits right?
So I watched their match the other day with the blues and it really looked like they were getting roughed up, straight up dominated the entire game.
Im not sure what kind of program they have for getting pumped up, but are there any specific training programs that focus on being more beastly? It was annoying seeing them get pushed around up and down the ice rink. I thought that danny carcillo guy was suppposed to be a tough guy but I didn't even see him punch anyone?
Do hockey players take any sort of MMA classes or are there some warmups they should be doing to get more aggressive and toughen themselves up?
Youd think they would be getting tired of looking so weak out there.
That sounds like lucky loser talk to me. Wouldnt you want the hawks to be the team that dishes out those sorts of hits rather than fall victim to them? I think it goes a little deeper, ita about lack of heart. It was different when thay had byfuglian.

I enjoyed the game, I just wish they would stick up for themselves. Kane is such a small little guy, but with the proper training (kung fu, karate, tae bo) maybe he could rock someone every once in a while and send a message that he can be a wizard with a puck but also **** up someone's face.
You IHN guys suck at having fun sometimes. Disappoint.
No, we can have fun without creating a troll thread that insults the intelligence of even band wagon hockey fans.
Not cool. I'm just learning about hockey. Love the slapshot movies, goon was awesome too. I know that's entertainment, just don't like seeing my team get pushed around in every game I watch...
They play with more intensity in the playoffs when other players on opposing teams get a wakey wakey. Until then we all have to go through the general bull shit no hitting, no intensity going through the motions garbage. Also we get to hear from the ones who have never shot a puck in their lives how pointless it is to be physical and grind other teams down. Much like which has been happening to the Hawks a bit lately.

Tissue?
no, but i might have to put you on my fake ignore list.
I understand that, but I feel like kaner and toews are just one cheap hit to the back of the helmet that's gonna knock them out of a couple series. And there's not even anybody to retaliate so it doesn't happen again...
Gone are the days when a guy like Probert didn't let something as miniscule as a linesman holding him back dish out "frontier justice", where Tom Lysiak would do to a linesman what everyone wished would happen to Steve Walkom, and where Hextall would beat the living snot out of Chelios. You know, the type of play that would make your average member of the Kumbaya anti-fighting coalition curl up under their snuggy with a tub of Haagen Daaz and pine for Lifetime reruns.
The problem with retaliation nowadays is that it never comes out well for the team attacked. Take 2012: Hossa gets blindsided by Torres. Bollig goes out and tries to engage Torres. Torres feels his menses running down his leg and has to adjust his Kotex™, or he turtles--it's hard to tell which. Bollig gets tagged for a 2, a 5, and a 10, while Torres got nothing, and the 'hawks end up having to kill 7 minutes of penalty time.
I love a good spirited hockey scrap as much as anyone who has a Y chromasome and is not afraid to show it; I'm proud to say that I have visited Ground Zero in Piestany. But ultimately the goal is winning the game. Yes, player safety has to come down harder on the Gorilla Salads, Torres, and Cookes of the league (even though Evanger ane knocking Cooke the **** out was one of the most beautiful images in hockey), but if retalition is going to prevent your team from winning you simply don't do it--you beat them on the scoreboard.
The 'hawks, when playing to their strengths, do just that. I love a good fight and am unashamed by being a bloodthirstry neanderthal, but in the words of Sean Connery, "The only thing that matters is the Grail"
