What is wrong with some Bulls fans?

The season is over. They will probably beat Philly but anyone who thinks this team can beat Miami or even Indiana without Rose is truly in denial.

This has nothing to do with having a knee-jerk reaction to the 76ers lighting them up in Game 2.

I said this right after it was announced Rose was done for the season.

Rose's dribble-penetration and scoring ability at the rim is the reason Deng and Boozer (their 2nd and 3rd scoring options) get as wide open of looks as they do. Now that Rose is gone, the Bulls should consider themselves lucky if they are able to get as far as the ECF where they would get blown out 3-4 times against Miami.

It's over. And if Deng truly is not going to have the surgery until after the Olympics then Bulls' fans should start worrying about whether or not this team will make the PLAYOFFS next season seeing as Rose will be out until some time in February.

Don't say shit like 'The Bulls can still win it this year!' because they can't. They are just as hopeless as they were when they were the Deng-Hinrich-Gordon Bulls now.

I'm not saying that they will or can, but do you think we should stop watching and rooting for the team seeing as this would be a pointless endeavor?

I'm just saying because I'm still rooting just as hard for this team to make some noise and if they shock the world, I wouldn't be surprised.

A lot of people are saying that they still can win the championship this season. I never said anybody should stop watching or rooting.

I feel like God has blessed me because I just moved to a new state and don't have an internet or cable connection so even though I'm still rooting for them, He has saved me the pain of watching them ultimately lose this season. I would if I could though.

I don't think they can win a series against the Heat, but they won't make it easy for the Heat. Unless they play like they did Tuesday. The Pacers, ehh IDK, I think they can.

Rami may be right.
Nothing wrong with being realistic at all.
Why get your hopes up too high so it will hurt more when the inevitable happens.

In a way, I don't want the Bulls to make it to face Miami, because getting destroyed and swept by the Heat would be much more painful to watch.

I'm already planning on trades and JR Smith signings this summer. :troll:

Even beating the Pacers is EXTREMELY far-fetched:

C: Noah/Asik vs. Hibbert/Amundson (advantage: debatable)
PF: Boozer/Gibson vs. West/Hansbrough (advantage: debatable)
SF: Deng/Brewer vs. Granger (advantage: debatable)
SG: Hamilton/Korver vs. George/Jones/Barbosa (advantage: PACERS)
PG: Watson/Lucas vs. Collison/Hill (advantage: PACERS)

Yes, and the Bulls could beat Atlanta without Rose (not an easy task). I never said otherwise. Boston (healthy)? No.

If the Bulls are lucky enough to get to the ECF, they will get destroyed by Miami and if Indiana was lucky enough to knock-off Miami then the Bulls will still likely get destroyed by the Pacers.

I'm not sure what Bulls fans you are talking to but every Bulls fan I know agreed that our title hopes collapsed when Rose's knee did. Though my friend Fred still feels that we will make the ECF. I think he's nuts.

I do like that you pointed out Deng's abscence to start next season. People really are not thinking about how this team is going to look at the start of next year with no Deng & no Rose. Yet I was crazy to make a post after game 1 that we need to look seriously at getting a playmaking PG in the off-season. Apparently Steve Nash would never want to come here so I'm living in a total fantasy world.

So in other words, the Bulls should just pack it in. Why delay the inevitable.

why is it such a big deal that some fans are trying to be hopelessly optimistic?

let the games do the talking and shattering of their dreams

rose and deng both out most the year?

#tankforjabari

Maybe the Bulls should trade for Gordon.

Without Deng and Rose, Ben Gordon would be able to put some wins in our sector.
Ben Gordon lead the Bulls to the playoffs single handledly by himself with nothing but hot trash around him when Deng missed dam near a whole season.
Maybe he could do it again..

Rip+Korver for Ben sounds like a good deal IMO

No, it's really not. Ben Gordon demands over 10 million dollars per-season while Hamilton and Korver combine to cost that much. And Hamilton may be a better player than Gordon on his own.
