How about we just #keepfuckingplaying and leave it all on the court? That's all we can ask from the team, whether Rose is in there or not. Game 2, they forgot to show up after halftime. We can hope they turn up the intensity when they travel to Philly and end the series quickly so the team can rest up (if we win the series) for the winner of the Boston/Atlanta series. Either one of those teams would be a huge challenge.

So in other words, the Bulls should just pack it in. Why delay the inevitable.

Again, not what I said. I rooted my ass off even when they had no chance of making the playoffs. I'm simply calling for all of the fans who are still saying things like the Bulls have a chance to stfu. Root one game at a time instead of nut-grabbing and making the rest of the fan-base look like morons.

why is it such a big deal that some fans are trying to be hopelessly optimistic?

let the games do the talking and shattering of their dreams

Not a big deal to me. I'm still cheering & rooting as hard as ever. But I don't see anything wrong with having an eye towards the future right now either, with next season being completely up in the air with our 2 all-stars riding the pine for several months.

Its a great deal.

And then we can sign Nash.

A Nash-Gordon backcourt would be deadly with a Noah, Butler and Boozer/Taj Frontcourt.

That would be rank amongst the worst defensive back-courts of all-time. Rose+Hamilton >>> Nash+Ben Gordon

Again, Rami, I really have no clue what fans you are conversing with. I don't think there's a single soul on this site who TRULY, gun-to-the-head, believes we can still win it all.

Friends of mine, people on other sites, and there have been a few randoms who I have heard talking about the Bulls still having a chance.

I'd honestly prefer the Bulls tanking the playoffs, by pulling Deng out of the line-up, and compelling Deng to have the surgery NOW for the sake of NEXT season instead of waiting until the Olympics are over.

And Hamilton may be a better player than Gordon on his own.

Not really, we still would have Brewer and Watson.
B.G could come off the bench while everyone on the Bulls goes cold offensively.
Or Brewer could come off the bench for defensive assignments.
And Nash would make our team better offensively with his great court vision getting others involved in offense..

The bottom line is, its just temperary to get us by untill Rose-Deng get back to keep us respectable for a season without them.

Now to me, a future hall of famer(2xMVP) in Nash, and Someone who can instantly put pioints on the board in Gordon,
That sounds like a pretty good temperary replacement to me.
At least we will be able to score points.

I can feel you on that point.
Might as well get Deng on the road to recovery sooner than later and next season will be here before you know it.

I definately think Deng should forget about the summer games, because his responsibility is to the Bulls first....after all its the Bulls orginization that supports all his financial needs.
With Rose out for god knows how long, Deng has to at least be considering it because we will sorely need Deng back as soon as possible next season..

:lmao:

So what is it? Root for them 1 game at a time or don't bother at all? You completely contradicted yourself in a manner of 5 posts.

And there's absolutely ZERO chance that this current teams tanks anything. What would even make you think that would be an option?

While I do feel Deng should just have the surgery and miss the Olympics, I fully understand why he wants to & WILL play in them, & I bear no ill-will toward him for doing so. He is a huge deal in the UK. He's on money over there. This is his adopted country that gave him & his family asylum & they are hosting the games. He takes great pride in, not only being one of the faces of the London Olympics, but having a chance to honor his country on the biggest stage. Oh, & he could care less if he gets paid for it.

Dear OP,

Anything is possible, just not probably. It is ok to root for the possible as long as you understand it is a long shot, and underdog shot. I can live with that, it would appear you can not, or choose not to. This is what makes me a FAN, and you... ?

Again, only coming to this site to bash people. I have barely been on here for the past month and I found it hilarious that you are still proving what a loser you are (i.e. I saw a post you left bashing me TODAY). Please climb off of my nuts and retain what little self-respect you have left.

Post-count does not make you, Houheffna, and FirstTimer any less loser-ish. If anything, that works against your favor in that argument.

What makes me a fan is that I root my ASS off during every Bulls' game from 1996-present and I do so without thinking of tomorrow each time. I only want this team to win day-in-day-out and I want this team to win another championship.

Glad you clarified that, because your original post had me thinking otherwise, I was going to ask you to turn in your Bulls Fan Card. I don't know your "history" on this board, or what has transpired in the past, but you came off harsh and overly critical, that's my opinion of your opening post and that is what I was responding to. If this was some get even post to someone else on here, then so be it, I'll run along.
